right they ask u to eat with spoons and forks cause they wanna make u spend your hard earned money on useless junk so that their cutlery business can flourish and in that process they have somehow linked it with table manners and fantasy stuff..what the hell has manners to do with eating??They can bomb wedding ceremonies in Afghanistan and they consider it cool but if an afghan eats with hands thats lack of mannerisms

hmmm not exactly...i mean i sometimes eat chawal with hand but will eat it with a spoon infront of others...on the other hand i know a lot of ppl eat pizzas and chips with forks and knives but i still eat these with my hands most of the time whether i am alone or with other ppl

I am always about keeping it real. I eat nan with my hands when eating at a Pakistani/Indian restaurant. I don't care whether I am there solo or out with my work colleagues, because that's how the food should be eaten.
I have gotten nothing but positive responses - many times I have had people ask me to show them how!

yes i eat with my hands, however will adjust to suit enviroment, i still think we are very civilised when we are eating with hands, ever seen the arabs eat with thier hands?? yuk it would make you throw up!

No. Last time had lunch with fellow students and they ate their sandwiches with fork and knife, i used my hands.

Not yet. I remember recently was in a party, and people had difficulties eating their samosas with fork. Maine tau haath se hi khaya (dont wanto ruin the taste by using fork 
) . The fork-strugglers also start eating with hand after that.

Some things are just not ment to be eaten with utensils.

1) Yes, if my hands are clean and my nails are trimmed short. I love eating rice with my hand.
2) I don't eat with hand in front of others from different culture but if I have to then I wouldn't mind.

4) Yes, mainly muslims(sadly).

Yes, i believe chawal tastes best when u eat with your own hands. yummmymm.At home ,i prefer hands
And to be honest i have seen people eat with hands and if its eaten right and with manners it doesnt look bad at all.

Sometimes i will but i have a thing about not getting my hands dirty lol, i find the smell of food tends to linger on hands despite washing them several times and that bugs me! But i have actually eaten with my hands in restaurants too and i dont pay attention to anyone else so i dont know if theyre bothered and i wouldnt care anway.

No and I don't know how my mom does it. I tried to so many times when I was younger, but I don't know how.
I don't want to either, since I need to wash my 'hand'.
