We don't share cutlery in my home. My parents don't share cutlery. Everybody gets their own plate, utensils and glasses. Maybe it's common elsewhere but it certainly isn't common in my home.

kinda like prison, every inmate gets their own plate, do you have your names written at the bottom too.

there was this pakistani family living near my parents house. the son was living with his mother and grandmother (his father had passed away yrs ago) and he had just gotten married. they invited me, my mom and sis over for tea.

well after the son`s wife drank her tea, he took her cup and made tea for himself in the same cup. he even drank from the same place where her lipstick marks were and his mother and grandmother were proudly saying that ‘look our son loves his wife so much, he is always looking for a cup or plate that she has used’.

and these were like really religious women who wouldn’t even go grocery shopping cuz non mehram males are there.

Or you are suggesting that married people should do sleep in different rooms and

sweety- actually ‘religious’ married couples are supposed to act this way, expressing love for each other is lovely

have NO probz with it .. infact, i think its cute and romantic.. personal accessories (hygiene type, as sara516 mentioned toothbrushes) ko chor kar, i think sharing is pretty nice ....

Its cute and fun, and obviously nothing wrong with it. As a matter fact nothing wrong with sharing a plate with any muslim, maybe has to be same sex not sure. But muslim is muslim. Khair. Me and hubby usually eat dinner together in same plate sometimes. Or we go out to restaurants and we try each other's food order sometimes. Its fun.

I kinda share food n stuff wit my friends, like if i get a gyro or bring food from home, ill give em a separate fork/spoon and we eat frm the same plate/tupperware dabba
