I think people are confusing two distinct things. Things related to individuals and things related to pakistani culture and islam and the wider practices.
Yes, there are gay muslims. There are gay muslims in the closet and there are gay muslims who are open about it. And I can imagine that hormonal teengers do at least try to sneak off to suck each others faces at weddings. However, the things that are representative of our cultural and religious practices that are more or less the same the world over that weren’t portrayed very well at all, those are dismaying. For example, the nikkah or other instances throughout their period on the show where they mix up indian practices with pakistani/muslim ones.
