Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
Okay thanks ND a few more questions.
Is he drinking alot more?
Is he going to wee alot more?
Does he ever wake up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet/drink?
Does he wake up in the night and have difficulty breathing?
Have you noticed any changes in his breathing?
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
havent noticed him drinking alot of water, but sometimes he does wake up very early in the morning to go to the toilet, no difficulty in breathing but sometimes it becomes heavy especially if he is under stress
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
respiratory problem could be due to some irritants/allergies in the air...do you have pets btw? if you have birds, this could very well be a reason if he is the one who cleans the cage. bird excreta when dried up gets airborne and if inhaled causes lung to twitch. nasal spray [rhinocort] usually helps.

Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
I am still leaning more towards a respiratory problem for some reason.
Could well be diabetes you cant rule it out.
ND from everything you have told me - esp him being a smoker I really think he needs to go to doc and have:
A chest x ray
The doctor should listen to his chest
and a test which checks how well your lungs are working.
Glucose check
