Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
i suggest that until the possibility of diabetes is ruled out, ** he must eat small portions of meals every 6 hours or so or else he runs the danger of becoming *Hypoglycemic * [low blood sugar level...less than 2.0]***...i'm NOT scaring you...i'm just educating you...Good Luck! *
Agree. The smaller the interval and the smaller the meal the better it is.

Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
Before we all go crazy over the diabetes.
Although type 1 diabetes is a possibility in your husband. - the itchy skin and cough, pins and needles
However
The cough, low BP, drowsiness, pins and needles and snoring point to a respiratory condition
Could be both!
both need a check up ASAP.
Give us more details ND. anything you can think of.

Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
Yes
this might be due to the fact that he eats only one meal a day ?
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
It seems more of a respiratory sys related thing but it could be diabetes. The best would be to get his blood sugar checked.

maybe 10-11 in a day.....
i checked his pulse, n his forehead was covered with cold sweat

can be
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
^ a low pulse and sweating does not mean low blood pressure, but thanks for clearing that up :)
To me it actually sounds more like a respiratory thing. ND so something to do with the lungs/chest. He is a smoker so he has chances of lung problems.
You do need is sugar checked though too.
Tell us more about his cough?
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
why is he eating only one meal a day?
