That too.
But it is better to get tested , rather than worrying about it. If a person does not have it , this stress might give it to that person.
If they have it then they can start treatment early and live a fulfilling long life. Inshallah. Ameen.

dozing off frequently** and *pin and needle feelings* in the soles of your feet and *numbness in the finger tips...some people cough for no apparent cause. i had the first 3 symptoms.*

Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?
Give us more detaila about what you are seeing in your husband?
As much detail as possible.
Re: Early symptoms of Diabetes?

he better go...unchecked diabetes can be deadly...Diabetes is known as a 'silent killer'**...two days ago one of my cousin's wife went into coma and died because her sugar got too low. it's a serious thing.
having said that, diabetes is just a condition and it's NOT a big deal. *life is pretty much normal with doing exercises, eating sensibly and taking medication [if required]* ... so, Good Luck!**

If someone in your friends and family has a self blood test meter , use it first to convince him to go to doctor if he has it. But you have to know all the steps involved in that self test too.
Still it might not be sufficient . He needs to visit a doctor to be absolutely sure about whether he has it or not.

YES...he has to test blood **before meals and 2 hours after it*...it's very important to *check the blood sugar first thing in the morning**** when you wake up. one or two random readings during major meals is also recommended.
***a reading of 4-7 is normal before meals...and...7-10 is normal for 2 hours after the meals.*
a reading of less than 2 and more than 15 is alarming and the patient must go to the emergency ward of the nearest hospital.

In US they use
mg/dl
not
mmol/l
so it should be 70 to 100 milligrams per deciliter before breakfast in the morning for those in US.

This way He can do more harm himself if he is diabetic.

It is easy to cope with it if detected early and managed properly.

i suggest that until the possibility of diabetes is ruled out, **he must eat small portions of meals every 6 hours or so or else he runs the danger of becoming *Hypoglycemic *[low blood sugar level...less than 2.0]***...i'm NOT scaring you...i'm just educating you...Good Luck!*
