yes its true..some ppl do think this way...i had a client today and she had really big massive eyebrows i asked her to thread or pluck them so that i have more room to put eye make up on and she said i cant shape them its haram in islam!!

i wore a paranda in my hair and an anarkali dress with trousers........

wht i did was have the dupatta open from one side and the other side was pleated on my shoulder...it was pinned on top of my head......

from one side, the braid came out.....

how can it be haram? waxing shavin removing hair is allowed than y not plucking..thats just some made up thing!!

Before you all start giving your own fatwa's about eyebrows being haram or not you should study Islam. Waxing leg, arm, etc hair is allowed. But shaping eyebrows (by waxing, threading, plucking) is haram. This is because the women of the jahiliyya used to shape their eyebrows and make a high arch to attract the attention of men. For this reason the shaping of eyebrows is haram. This only applies to the eyebrows itself, not the middle part where there could be a unibrow formed. Getting rid of a unibrow is allowed Islamically.

I really don't understand how average people (with no deep knowledge of Islamic fiqh) can go around so easily saying what is haram and what is halal. Even the sahaba, who were the best of all Muslims, were careful to say what was haram and what wasn't b/c they had fear of Allah in their hearts and knew they would be questioned about it by Him.

FYI- as far as I know, shaping eyebrows may be questionable, but removing the damn unibrow so that u dont look like a man is allowed.

lipstick laghani isnt haram. but u shouldnt wear lipstick to attract others beside ur husband. very easy :D
