Re: dupatta dilemma

Irem, really think hard before doing it.

I remember back when I was in gr. 6-7, I started wearing hijab for a few reasons, but the reasons weren't entirely Islamic.

Later on down the road I read on it and started observing it. To this day I regret what I did in the past (ie. taking it off). Although back then it didn't matter to me, but now it's something that makes me ashamed of myself.

If observing dupatta/hijab isn't a hassle for you both at work and at home/family, then perhaps you can continue on with it. Allah (SWT) barkat daal dain gay, insha'Alllah.

Re: dupatta dilemma

im sure we’re all a bit naughty

dont be so judgemental about urself and honestly, who really cares what strangers think of us.. be concerned about the people u love and who love u back. Anyone else’s opinion can be thrown outta the window..

Re: dupatta dilemma

Irem, wa iyyaki.

If you're really confused and concerned, you can then make istikhara.

Hope it all turns out well for you, insha'Allah.

Re: dupatta dilemma

^ thanks irem :)

lets stop now, before the mullahs come in and chop me and my opinions to pieces

Re: dupatta dilemma

heheh   :hehe: okie :d:)

Re: dupatta dilemma

If I were you Irem, I wouldn’t wear a duppatta on my head! :halo: I have never liked dupatta and besides I don’t even know how to keep it on for long. While I was in Pakistan, my dupatta usually mopped the floor as I walked. This happened so many times even when I was out shopping. :smack:

I salute you for dealing with such a hassle… :salute:

Re: dupatta dilemma

^ just wear a non-slippery dupatta then? :)

a cotton dupatta/chaddar is really good and easy to handle.. u just gotta get some practise
