Do you ever wonder why there are shows like the simpsons, the family guy (well.. adult swim shows).. Why the hell do Americans watch them and like them too? and why people are so interested in Paris Hilton? May be we really aren’t interested but we are made to like them. Will anybody speak up!

^ You don't really think what we think or say matters to the government, do you? If you do, then you really don't know how it all works. The ones on top don't want average civilians to point at them and say something is wrong, so they divert our attention with senseless TV shows. If you have travelved to other countries, you would know how dumb American entertainment is compared to the other countries.
O about Bush, he's just a tiny part of the grand scheme..He does what the ones above him want him to do.

i agree that US government diverts the attention of its citizens by giving them limited and doctored information but i have a hard time believing they waste their time engineering the kind of shows u mentioned. Certain war movies are produced with the help of the government but everyday entertainment is driven by money and consumer attitude.

It was a funny movie where the dumb people kept producing and smart people didn’t for various reasons [women wanting to extend their careers etc] so much that this guy who is put into this study wakes up many decades later on to find people so dumb they were spraying Gatorade on crops among other things…

Yeah, I guess we are finally realizing that this IS an issue. I like to believe that back in 1950s, Americans didn't drain their brains with dumb TV shows. People were actually concerned, and of course the government had to come up with something to occupy our brains. With the food we eat today (with about 15,000 chemicals and other additives), it's no surprise that we are obese and have disorders like ADD/autism. Come on, you don't really think that goverment cares about us. What they care about is them being in power and dumbing us to the point where mothers will send their kids to war to die WILLINGLY.
You are in for a big surprise if you think government does everything for the betterment of our future and humanity overall. Everytime someone wants to educate Americans about their very rights and how they are being tricked into believing a different reality than what exists, they get ridiculed, criticized, and later killed. Way to go...
For your information, I go to college and have a job. I value my time and freedom. I don't believe in conspiracies, I believe in freedom. I believe in what I can see and feel. I am just looking out for myself so I don't get sucked into this. I don't want to be watched 24 -7 and don't want to be analyzed like an experiment. The truth is we can't handle responsibility, so we let the government rule us and treat us like cattles. You can say yes to that, I won't...
