I don't get it. Dubai has people from all over. I don't know if a Pakistani girl from Pakistan is that different from a pakistani girl from Dubai if they come from the same socio economic background.... I got cousins in Pk and cousins in Dubai around the same age who are pretty much the same. Dubai never gives nationality to the immigrants so all the immigrants are still paki even if they were born in Dubai. If there is a difference, lets have it!

NJ perhaps u shud ask that person..why specifically girls from Dubai :) Dubai is full of expats.. girls here lead the same lifestyle they wud in Pak/US/UK/Canada or anywhere else..

Dubai itself is a fast-paced area.. but the girls are no-different from anywhere else! And if he genuinely is seeking a girl here, then I do have a friend that's a matchmaker for the Pakistani community.

Really? I did not know that. So if someone is born in Dubai - they still keep the citizen status of their parents? I don't get it.

What if the parents are from 2 different nationality?

May be he has the perception that Dubai girls are more conservative. He likes girls who wears hijab voluntarily (without their parents forcing them) . A girl who is educated, independent and not dependent on silly things as driving, etc.

Hmm.. but the girls here err are pretty much liberal.. only a handful that wears the hijaab etc :)

yeah thats true but you have to look at places... just because a girl doen not wear hijab does not mean that the girl is liberal and goes to nighclubs etc or does not belong to a good khandaan! :)

I don't think so Gina ....i do see a lot of girls who wear hijab and abaya actually more so than those who don't......whether its in college or at the malls or in the workplace......

Sheyn, majority of the "desi" girls u get to see in Dubai are clad in Western outfits and don't really wear the hijaab.. yes, u do get to see them off and on..but majority of them are pretty liberal here :)

Ahmednxs, please elaborate what kind of "surprise" i'd love to know as well
