Hi guys
I need to rent an apartment in July and August 2010 in Dubai. Preferably as near to the American Hospital as possible… any suggestions for where to look?
Also, if anyone has a holiday home they let out in Dubai, contact me!
Any area near Garhoud is good, Mirdiff although slightly off is a nice place to live.

We have some studios and one bedroom flats in International City. If you are interested give me your budget and I will tell you if it is possible and give you contact info of my dad.

max budget for accommodation would be around 12,000 AED for 2 months (july+august). Hopefully this will include bills (water, electricity,etc)
I don't know whether you guys think its enough or not...? if its not enough, I might not come for as long as 2 months, and do 1 month in Dubai and one month somewhere closer to home like London.
You could try for sharing accomodation... there are only villa's next to The American Hospital.

Yeh sharing accomodation is what I was going to suggest as well before I looked at Gina's reply. It will be expensive renting alone.

I think I wanna rent independently as my parents will be stopping over for a week or two on their way to Pakistan so it'd be handy to have a flat (or a villa!)
I'm having a look at some websites now. do you guys think the prices listed are haggle-able? or set in stone?
Rents have gone down.. u're best best would be to find a apartment in Qusais.. that's on the sharjah/dubai border. New apartments near Sahara Center and Mamzar area.

gina gusais apartments n sharjah/mamzar area will be far fr the person...u shld really find hotel apartments in the area my frnd living in a hotel apartment for 5000dhs per month near burjuman centre not tht far away but still there is a good distance n in case u wana rent a car it would be around 1200dhs per month..i knw about the area well since our mosque is there ill try finding hotel apartments in tht area..tc

Yup CG he can get furnished apartments around Bur Dubai like the Golden Sands.. area :)

may i ask if not too personal fr wht reason are u coming here n for how long depending i can frankly comment if u really wld need a car or not..we drive on the right unlike pakistan.

no!! we drive on the left in the UK... I'd get so confused!
coming for 8 weeks (july and august) from the UK for a rotation in the American hospital (I'll be a final yr med student then!)

Don't drive in Dubai if you are new comer and staying there for only 2 months or so. Traffic is fast and crazy (different than UK). Taxi's are plenty and very cheap!
