There are many threads on MAC, NARS, DIOR etc etc etc and many posts on branded makeup too. I have alot of expensive branded makeup myself but sometimes i find random products in drug stores which are amazing and excellent quality.
One of my favourites is a blusher called Night Fever by My face cosmetics. And i was reading the NARS blusher thread and the one I have sounds very very similar (im sure NARS is much better in quality).
The other thing I really like is the Nail Polishes by 17. They have amazing colours only cost £2.99 and dont chip for atleast a week and dry really quickly.

One product everyone has to try is the AVON SUPERSHOCK EYELINER. It is amazing and better than the Urban decay 24/7 liner. Its a dupe of the urban decay but much much much better. It just glides on. I dont really like AVON makeup but a friend recomended this to me and I never use any other eyeliner. I have the urban decay but will go for this anyday!

I have the sleek contour kit. I think its well worth the money. I have the light one, but you have to proper layer the brown contour on, so get the medium one if you can. The highlighter with it is really good!
Oooh, and another item. I have a ‘laval’ blusher whih is super pigmented. I picked it up from a stall in a shopping centre. The stall sold cheap makeup, It was about £1.50 i think. I’m sure alot of people have seen these around, esp the lipliners with gold swirls around it.
^ Laval makeup is available everywhere here but tbh I've never really given it a second glance lol. Maybe next time..
I really want the Sleek blush in Rosegold, everyone raves about it but I can't find it in any of our Superdrugs :(

And you know what!! the lipliner's are less than 2$ omg!! bargain bargain~ YOU MUST CHECK OUT THEIR LIPLINERS AS THEY ARE BETTER THAN MAC!!!!!!!!!!! lol only if you use lipliners tho..i cant live without them and i just love NYX and avon lipliners...cheap and great quality! I so want to check out Avon super shock liner saw pixiwoo sisters using it and i think they were perfaring it over branded ones.
@ stoppit, why do you think sleek palettes are rubbish :( they are so cool but do tell us why you think that way so i might start seeing them by your angle lol

I'm referring to the eyeshadow palettes only (not having tried the others). All the shimmer just drops off if you wipe it, it's like its not part of the eyeshadow itself. They come off really easily too. Yeh, they are cheap but if you have any higher brand eyeshadows like MAC or UD, I doubt you'd choose to wear any sleek ones.

Yes, I think I am going to go with z bridal academy in bradford. My friends cousin had her bridal makeupi done by her and she looked lovely. i rang sahida (the owner) and had a chat with her. She said the certificate you get is BABTAC which is recognised globally. She asked me to come in any day to have a look at what she does. She said a friday is best as its the day students have portfolio shoots and I can see how much they have leant. i think i'm going to go next friday. i'll report back to you and let you know how it went.
Yes! we'll do the course together lol. :D . If you live in west Yorkshire, ring her and go visit her and check out th students work. Cant wait now, thinking of doing it around 5th September when daughter starts nursery.
As for NYX, I went on their site afew weeks ago and wanted to order the NYX makeup from there, but thought I may get charged for custom if i order more than £18. Did you pay any custom? Yes, I have seen makeup geek vids where she raves about the NYX lipliners! I am slowly wanting to build my pro kit and want these liner instead of mac. I will have mostly mac Or whatever the training academy recomends, but got to have NYX lipliners in the kit. Which shades do you recomend? I have been anting to try the lipstick in thalia, hope the have it in stock!
Avon eyeliner, yes the pixiwoo sisters love it too! Better than any other brand i think. I only got one when i saw it on offer at £3, defo need to stock up so waiting for another offer lol.
I live in the USA and We don't get a bunch of the brands mentioned....
I loveee ELF beauty products, its super duper cheap and the blushes are total dupes of NARS blushes, the packaging looks like NARS blushes too! for $3 you get such good quality its unbelievalble! and the brushes are high quality as well
For my everyday foundation, I use maybelline dream matte mousse or the superstay foundation...I love Maybelline products! :)
love my elf eyeliner brush it's perfect, also I love LOREAL HIP duo and pigment eyeshadows and i swear nyc color's waterproof black eyeliner is my favorite and I have really sensitive skin and eyes and i've had no allergic issues to any of those.
also estee lauder always gives away eye makeup remover in their free gifts with purchases but when i run out of that stuff i really like maybelline's eye makeup remover and those andrea q pads but they are oily.
nuetrogena face wipes that remove all your makeup and stuff is something i always pack when traveling it does it all
There's this other brand in superdrug's(uk) called make up academy i think. It's supposed to be very good and some people even go as far as to compare it to MAC :o lol. I haven't tried it myself but I may do. My sister uses the lipsticks and she's found them alright and my friend used the blusher which looked really good on her!
