Pakistanis must be very happy, they should be......however , his death might cost Pakistan......
Nek mohammad shaheed made peace deal with army......immediately after that America killed him in first ever drone strike....Pakistanis celebrated his death, pakistani army claimed the responsibility that it was their laser guided missile whixh killed him.... they thought taliban strength is now finished.....But baitullah mehsud assumed the leadership of taliban, the central role in taliban movement went to rather more dangerous and merciless mehsuds......baitullah mehsud proved himself more dangerous, laid the foundation of TTP uniting each militant group in Pakistan.....suicide bombings and beheading, he terrorized the whole pakistan, Pak army must have realized that they made the mistake of back-stabbing nek mohammad, a man of honour and some principles.
America killed baitullah mehsud for Pakistan......pakistanis celebrated his death......they thought that TTP is now finished..........But.......trigger-happy hakimullah mehsud replaced him, a military genius.......a young, aggressive, more violent and uncompromising......
Now death of wali ur rehman, deputy chief, middle aged sober and less aggressive.......according to some sources he was stressing TTP to focus more on afghanistan against NATO, main person responsible for convincing TTP to participate in spring operation of afghan taliban.......and America droned him......at the time when Pakistani politicians were fully serious about peace talks with TTP, positive developments were taking place........TTP would now most probably withdraw peace talks offer.......it is going to cost pakistan.....
you kill hakimullah mehsud, qari hussain would replace him.....you kill qari, another would replace him......they are always ready for death, it is not a type of movement that you kill its heads and it will finish......you have to cut out its roots which is almost impossible

so the questions to those who were so quick to jump with joy at the news of the No. 2's death, are you going to condemn these deaths now or you still believe that the 6 dead along with the false No. 2 deserved to die and were guilty before charged

Or it could be that had they not killed them, they would have been even stronger. The reason they have any strength at all is because the Pak Army and govt allow them to operate freely within Pak. Drones can only do so much. To truly destroy them will require the Army to be sent in.

if Army/ foot soldiers need to be sent in to truly destroy them, then what 100k strong american army achieved in afghanistan? other than ending up holding few huge fort like military basis here and there after 11 years? and that with all sort of military might america had! after the US fate in afghanistan, this argument of fighting the afghan gorillas on ground has lost all its weight.

no, they will wait for the next such attack and if you push them too hard they will say war has always been like that, you cannot avoid bloodshed in war, if you want to stop drones send your army in there
by the way, we are all crying about the drone killing 6 unknown persons, yesterday "pakistani" jets also did bombardment in Tirah Valley/ Kuram Agency, killing about 16 "extremists" this is also no different than the drone bombing, this is also a mass killing above any law

- There is no shortage of supply they can replace faster then they get killed
- Its extremely hard to kill an ideology
Hence after 12 long years amreeka is now talking to Taliban, what a glory for the sHooper Duper power

It is because of Taliban apologists and their supporters that Taliban khawarij continue to be a problem in Pakistan.
America is not going to talk to Taliban who don't pledge to strike American interests. America does not want to bog down to a worthless place like Afgh and waste its resources. So they will be willing to talk to the most violent extremists if they have to, regardless of what they do to the local people under their rule.
Remember that their biggest ally in the region, Saudi, is not very far from Talibanic ideology. Only difference is that Saudis don't act against American interests and Taliban do. So if tomorrow Taliban decide to ally with America then Americans will have no problem accepting their khariji ideology imposed on Afgh and Pak.

Sharif should come up with a principle stand that Pakistan strongly condemns and opposes drone attacks. Call the US ambassador to lodge official protest and tell the Taliban that if they want to avenge the latest blow they received, they should send someone to the US. Sharif should also tell the Taliban that the state sincerely wants to settle issues with them, but if they resort to violence, the state will respond with full force.

They continue to kill Pakistanis everywhere while willing to talk. Yet one of their comrades die, and they suspend all talks offer.
That just shows how futile this offer of talks is from the government. A successful negotiation between government and Taliban would only mean total surrender of Pakistan in front of these extremists. Even if there is one incident they don't like, and negotiations will be worthless.
Yet our fellow Pakistanis continue to play devil's advocate by being Taliban mouthpiece.

Unfortunately, the state never had this aim in mind. Even during Musharraf’s era, Pakistan’s concern was only to remove foreign fighters. We never intended to fight with Taliban till their end. Neither military nor the public.
Remember the time when around 100 Pakistan soldiers SURRENDERED in front of Taliban. They simply handed over their weapons, instead of fighting their brethren. Can anyone believe that 100 trained soldiers could be KIDNAPPED without putting up a fight?

On the one side Taleban offer negotiations to the government and on the other keep on their killing spree. With Taleban continuing with their terrorist activities, how do you think a break through can be achieved?
Should the state forego their sovereignty to the taleban as a result of these negotiations?
