^ ideally the top management needs to be captured and punished by Pakistan. What can be done if the army is incapable and the government does not have any will to take onto them? we can just hope for a negotiated end and keep on witnessing bomb blasts here and there.
I support talks to wean over the foot soldiers and low level combatants, but in the garb of peace talks should the government give clean chit to the barbarians who are responsible for over 40000 deaths in the country? Shouldn't they be punished according to the rule of the land? If they can be granted an immunity then what justification does the government have in keeping other murderers in jail for the same crimes?.

The government probably didn't even know about this drone attack until it read the newspaper.
Rightly said :k: For the state to negotiate from the position of strength, it needs to weaken the upper echelon of the militants first. Once the top leadership is gone, a large swath of rank-and-file militants would disperse automatically.

aww. Well, Pakistan government/army needs to BE in the area first.
BTW, I have yet to see your post saying anything positive about killing of that extremist fasadi.

This is nothing but a ploy by the US. Either they are recoiling to support NS and their second step will be ES himself, the supposed no. 1, so that they can then completely pull out of these Drone wars in Pakistan.
Or they will simply continue by claiming that the TTP intensified their activities through foot soldiers, in other words, they will show more bombings in Pakistan randomly.
Don't trust for a moment that this is what it appears to be.
A spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban, however, denied the reports. “This appears to me to be false news. I don’t have any such information,” said Ahsanullah Ahsan, speaking by telephone from an undisclosed location.
