^ The first one (white) is lovely. I would vote for that.

Re: Dress me for Eid
What sort of fabric is this? Very pretty.
Might be wrong but I'm guessing mukesh..?
Re: Dress me for Eid
Yup mukesh on chiffon
Re: Dress me for Eid
Brit I have the same issue. Nothing fits since baby. Heavy chest and wide shoulders. Not to derail your thread but any idea of good designers who deliver to the UK?
I think most of the vendors deliver to UK, but I'm enforcing a strict policy these days of only engaging in discussions about order with vendors who clearly display their prices from the onset. Any that tell me to 'inbox me for price' are ignored altogether.
Anyway I digress, am off to look at the pretty outfits.

Re: Dress me for Eid
That is lovely, looks like printed cotton?
Re: Dress me for Eid
I just gave something to the tailor...will post pics as soon as I get it :D Its navy blue self paisley designed malai lawn...flowy, looks like shamose silk...And i designed it with a super trendy cut and nice buttons to make it fancy, later to be used for dinners, dawats, dholkis etc...
I also design clothes, freelance..basically have been making clothes for friends and family, and their friends and family (word of mouth) but discontinued since I moved to canada
\
That sounds lovely! What exactly is malai lawn? I was suggested it by someone else but I hear the word lawn and assume it'll be thin and terribly clingy fabric.
Re: Dress me for Eid
Brit chick, why don't you wear those stretchy churidaars that are available these days? Those are the best!
Re: Dress me for Eid
Cos I have massive clown feet and the last thing I want to do is draw attention to them :p
Re: Dress me for Eid
^ bahahahahaha that's hilarious :p
i love the very first image posted in this thread of the peach angarkha
Re: Dress me for Eid
I have big feet too, but didnt know that churidaar is no good for big feet. Now i'm going to be worried that people are laughing at me
Re: Dress me for Eid
You have no idea…maybe in Pakistan it’s different?
I’m in NYC and I’ve been to Eid namaz where women wore full kaam walay joray including sarees and 10-year-old bridal lenghas.
Chand raat–girls with their hair done in huge up-dos, full makeup, and fancy kaam walay joray
lots and lots of heavy joras.
Funny thing is, when I end up dressing up, everyone around me is dressed down, when I dress in lawn, everyone else wears heavy stuff.
Re: Dress me for Eid
Also I have big feet too, but I don't think churidar makes them stand out terribly? I love churidars (when they fit right).
I like the peach one posted.
Re: Dress me for Eid
Ok you guys have convinced me to get the peach one made for eid, will make it in either powder pink or light mint and instead of silver patti at the bottom will add black/navy with silver embroidery on daman for pink and turquoise for mint green.
Will get plain sleeves coz mukesh without lining is gonna scratch.
Re: Dress me for Eid
What kind of fabric is that?
