dress, girls and parties

Salam

I always been wondering about how the the dress code is suppose to be among girls? Lets say theres a party for girls, what can they wear? are they allowed to wear tops and (mini)skirts? (there will be NO MEN!!!).

Assume a girl dies and shes not wearing much, thats a bad sign right?

Re: dress, girls and parties

^ How confident are you that there will be no lesbians or bisexuals?

Re: dress, girls and parties

sherni actually we're encouraged to dress modestly infront of females too.

Re: dress, girls and parties

Yea we are encouraged to dress modestly with girls too but i dont think u would get gunnah for doing it

Re: dress, girls and parties

by doing it i mean wearing a skirt :p

Re: dress, girls and parties

I think you mean an extremely short skirt eh.:p

Well I always have my hijab off at parties and a lot of my party outfits are tight and so on. But short skirts, I dont know.Although yeah some girls will wear those at girls parties.

Re: dress, girls and parties

I've seen girls wear sleeveless and somewhat low-neck, knee length dresses at girls only events. Haven't come across any mini-skirts yet.

Re: dress, girls and parties

^come to dearborn n u will see all-girl swimsuit parties

MQ lol i do too but personally i am never comfortable with like revelaing stuff around women either (i know this is gonna sound weird but) i have noticed that women get all turned on too seeing other women like that..u can see it in their eyes especially when u notice them staring n with all this lesbo stuff going around these days its scary! i wonder if i have scared sherni enough

Re: dress, girls and parties

same here.
I’ve been invited to those pool parties but usually decline.

Re: dress, girls and parties

Women are supposed to do purdah with women who are otherwise known as tawayefs/whore$, hoochi$, $lut$, dykes, and so on........to whom many on this forum can relate.......

Re: dress, girls and parties

haha, your too funny love, “lesbo’s” are humans too you know :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: dress, girls and parties

Good Question. Well among muslim gurls, I can’t imagine any lesbians? Am I naive or what?

Re: dress, girls and parties

MQ- Encouraged, ok thas another thing, but is it gunnah if I don't follow it? If I wear a mini skirt among women in my family, like my mom? Will she get gunnah by looking at me? And if I die wearing a mini-skirt, then its a bad sign isnt it?

Sorry to many questions.

Re: dress, girls and parties

Tikhi meri bachi, where did you read this (if u did read it somewhere?), please please give me some source, I need it badely.

Re: dress, girls and parties

MQ offtopic, What do you mean with hijaab? I mean how do you define hijaab? Do you mean head scarf or the whole dress jhilbab?

Yea I been to parties and I seen girls wearing almost nothing, not that I mind, its all cool for me. The thing is, I could never wear such things at party, but I do wear very very revealing stuff at home infront of my mom, and she always give me a loads of galis, and tells me that she will get gunnah by looking at me? The question is, will she get gunnah by looking at me dressing cheap?

Re: dress, girls and parties

Rukhsar ji, MM- Thanks for replying :)

Re: dress, girls and parties

What about infront of mother?

Re: dress, girls and parties

From what I remember Sherni, amongst women, a female needs to cover from her chest area to her mid-thigh area. I am forgetting the term that is used to describe that "hijab".

Re: dress, girls and parties

If you're going to wear a mini-skirt to a party, what would the reasoning be to DO it? I mean, the reason to not do it would be the INTERPRETATION that girls must do hijab from one another.

But lets say you don't buy that and you're going to wear the miniskirt anyway. I would like to know WHY a miniskirt? Why not a skirt that goes to your knees (which look more respectable anyway?)

A friend of mine from an Irani family described to me how one of her aunts came dressed in a bra-like sequins-decked top and a short miniskirt. She's a mom and she has kids in high school.

Now, taking her example, one can say - why should she not wear that?

But then, I always wonder, what compels someone to show so much skin in the first place?

The only reason really comes to mind is that you want to feel sexy and somewhere deep down you are asserting your feminine dominance over all the other females at the party (kinda like an alpha-female type behavior).

In which case, if that is the explanation, then ... please find a hobby to preoccupy your mind.
