Re: Dress code for Shadi.
Merits of Buying a Suit
1. You will make the bride and groom happy (it's their day after all)
2. You will make your in-laws happy
3. You will make your angelic wife happy (happy wife=happy life)
4. You will look like a stud (you know what they say about men in suits)
5. You will have a suit for future formal occasions. You will probably have to attend school functions for your kids, formal dinners or other weddings. Since it seems like you've reached your average adult weight, you will be able to wear this suit for years.
6. Considering the bad economy, almost everyone should be concerned about their current job status. If you have to start looking for a new job, you'll need a suit for interviews (and that will be a bad time to have to go out and buy one). Also, what if top brass changes in your company and they require a stricter dress code?
Cons of buying a new suit
1. You'll spend money (but really, honestly, not that much. Lots of good deals to be found right now. And the ladies in the Fashion forum can help).
2. They make you feel uncomfortable. But this is something you need to grow out of. You are an educated, successful, family man. You should feel like you're absolutely in your element in a suit.
Now, go out and buy a good quality suit at a good price point. Its a wise investment.
