I just don’t like it. CM is not responsible of manholes. His duties are different. Guy who is sketching it on different roads of Karachi should change his strategy. He should questioned elected official and draw it on road. I see his act is discriminatory.
KARACHI: A group of activists here have opted for a rather unorthodox way of drawing the attention of authorities towards civil issues that hinder the everyday life of Karachiites.
As part of the Ideas are Bulletproof campaign, Karachi citizens have spray-painted the portrait of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on major roads of the metropolis, which invoke the ire of thousands everyday due to their derelict condition.
With the chief minister’s face drawn next to gaping potholes, ditches and heaps of piles on the side of Karachi’s much-travelled University Road, the aim is to attract the authorities attention towards the issues that affect the common man in the city, says Alamgir Khan, who leads the campaign.
“The project is a well-organised, well-managed campaign that is being run by teams comprising normal citizens,” he says. “[However,] this is only the beginning.”
Where is "apna mayor/nazim"? Though he "recently" got elected he should take this responsibility.... as for CM, let him be hallucinating in world of hasheesh.

As for your “CM is not responsible for manholes”, Yes he SHOULD not be responsible instead counselors and local body govt should be held responsible but this CM’s govt has taken all the powers from local bodies/governments. Just yesterday I was watching the news and latest is that Sindh Govt has taken away power of local govt to collect parking fee.

Missing Manholes lids and potholes in roads is a big source of injuries and deaths in Pakistan. It is a serious issue, up until last month the cm was ruling the city with the help of his hand picked man, even now he himself has ordered the issue to be sorted out. Was he able to see to this issue before it was raised in this way?
Takht e Lahore with the help of Taliban stopped him from Woking then. They hold his hands so that he can’t work and resultantly reduce PPP to where it is now. I am sure even the greatest hope was sleeping

CM is an elected official.
I think the idea is to get maximum attention from the authorities, not to target CM personally. You wouldn't get much attention if you draw a UC member's face.

All roads of Lahore are dug up again for Metro train, half of SS's tenure the roads are torn down which are fixed in the last year. These roads include Multan Road as well which was inaugurated after a lot of fanfare.
We should accurately report news. No FIR was filed against him for what he was doing as far as the drawing is concerned (that lazy drunk CM cant be bothered even to do that).
It was ‘supposedly’ registered under his dad’s name for a hit and run on the vehicle he was using. Now whether that FIR is actually registered against his dad, and the full story behind that is something that we are only hearing from Alamgir, so let’s wait until it is verified before inaccurately saying he is being charged for the graffiti.
Also, not to sound like an apologist for the CM but we do have plenty of folks (all types, drug addicts, plain old thieves and metal scavengers etc.) that steal the these lids for a fast buck to sell as scrap. Sometimes the municipality would put in a replacement lid, only to find that going missing that same night again. I remember watching this news item wheere Calcultta India had tens of thousands of these missing in a matter of 1-2 months and they tried using concrete covers thinking the lack of metal would deter the theft, only to find out that the thieves were undeterred by this and stole the concrete (they would smash it, sell the rebarring inside).
