Dravidians and Africans

Re: Dravidians and Africans

I dabble a little to pass time. According to Y-Chromosomal DNA Variation in Pakistan. Am. J. Hum. Genet. 70:1107 1124, 2002., Pathan and Kashmiri most frequently belong to haplogroup HG3 or R1a. (40% of Pathans and 60% of Kashmiri belong to R1 haplogroup). There are also significant numbers of HG1 in these populations. In addition, there is a sprinkling of haplogroup HG9 (J) among them. BTW, if you get tested and you are haplogroup HG2 (G/I) or HG28 (L) then the study seems to suggest you could be a Pathan, but not Kashmiri. Also, noticehaplogroup H, O and C are absent among Pathans and Kashmir, according to the studyi.
