The issue of the linkage between Africans and Dravidians is not something that can be dismissed as something that has no substance in it at all. Anyone who sees the Ethiopians and Tamils could see a remarkable physical resemblance and during my stay in London I mistook some Ethiopians in fact for Tamils. Perhaps some Dravidian tribes at least, are people with intimate relationship with some Africans, a notion that deserves to be investigated further. Such studies were promoted at one time by the political leaders in Senegal and some books published by the anthropologist K.P. Aravanan, now the Vice Chancellor of a university in Tamil Nadu owe to this. One of them is the collection of articles, some quite rare indeed and edited by K.P. Aravanan, and published under the title “Dravidians and Africans”. The copy I have was published in 1997 and Tamil Koottam holds the copyright.
The book also contains many photographs that reveal the presence Muruka worship among the East Africans where the Vel, the Spear and the Mayil, the peacock are unmistakably similar to those in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.
I shall select only some relevant parts from some of these essays so that they enjoy a wider publicity and the issue of the African connections, among others, of the Dravidians folks becomes a lively again. This may also serve as an antidote to the very popular and highly publicized Aryan Racialism of many scholars both European and Indian.

There is a strong tendency in Asia to equate dark skin to ugly.
So there may be a relation to dravidians to Ethiopians...so what. We came out of africa. Some remained 'pure' and some mixed with 'whiter skinned tribes'.
As for dravidians, we all have dravidian blood in us; we all have black hair, black eyes and Brown skin (various shades).
Dravidians are of Austroloid stock, with is related to negro stock. They are racially different to North Indians and Pakistani's who by enlarge are of Indo-European stock.

Dravidians are indeed short and dark but why aren't they happy with the way the look?
I mean these fair and lovely creams are an endemic in south India and Bangladesh.
Even today many Pakistanis hold racist views towards Bengalis because they are dark skinned and thus one of the main factors which led to the atrocities in 1971.

Nobody is being racist, you're the one who is implying that South-Indians can't be equal to "Pakistanis and everyone else" if they are the same as Africans, South-Indians are equal to Pakistanis but not the same. (I see your point though the thread starter does have an unhealthy obsession with Aryans especially seen as he's a Paki and therefore a mixture of a dozens different races).
South-Indians/Dravidians are related to South-Africans and Austrailian-Aboriginies, that's a fact and there's nothing wrong with it because all people are equal and dark is sexy.
Eastern-Pakistanis/North-Indians also have Dravidian in them but also Aryan in the Northwestern bits of the Subcontinent... Kashmiris/Pathans, Afghans, Iranians etc. are mixture of Aryan, Turkic, Azeri, Armenian etc. races.
All races are equal and most of us are mixtures anyway. To me personally dark is sexy, pale is bland, I don't find people of Northern-European stock attractive at all unless they have something else mixed in, only Medditerenean, Asian (in general) or north African rock my boat.. But I don't disdain anyone, that's just my taste.
