very depressing drama. I have noticed mehreen jabbar is a very sensitive director but she doesn't have a good sense of humor thats can help balance a play. without humor, it becomes too 'heavy to digest'.

I don't think Umaira Ahmed is a very humorous writer.
Mehreen has done some light hearted plays too.
In this play Javeria's character is a bit light hearted but I don't think the play itself requires a hero's comedic sidekick or a paan chewing funny grandma.

I find Badar Khalil’s acting very humorous in the play, that for me is the funny side in the drama. She has done a GREAT job of playing the evil saas.. especially her scene with Sonia’s mother had me 
Mehreen did a series of play on Hum TV with Humayun, Yasir, Nadia and Sania.. all of them tackled different issues but most of them had good comic scenes despite of being based on serious issues.
Badar Khalil always does justice to her roles, I LOVE her to bits!

you don't need to create a comic or exaggerated chartacter to create humor.you can create it in a normal conversation or by taking situations from every day life.like shoaib mansoor did in ABC.

I just watched the 9th episode and what a shocker 
humayun saeed divorced his poor wife, thanks to the meddling mother-in-law and the scheming cousin 
I could throttle both right now, but then I remind myself its just a drama! I’m glad the climax scenes were short but powerful, no need for hysterics or unnecessarily looooong dialogues which are a total turn-off in dramas. Bravo Mehreen Jabbar and Umaira Ahmed!

I don't think I have ever cried watching any drama except tanhaiyaan but today I couldn't stop crying after watching this one! Especially the first 15 mins, I was too shocked. I feel bad for Sara but I also feel very bad for Humayun.. he seemed so helpless. Ah, awesome acting by all.
its ok that u felt for bad for sara ,but why are u feeling bad for hamayun.i hate such men ,who cannot stand for their wife:aj: aaahhh i have seen such MIL’s infact watching this drama reminds me of my cousin story.anyways hamayun didnt deserve sara:snooty: and shame on such MILS who try to destroy there bahu;s ghar.i wonder do they ever think abt their daughters:hoonh:

I don't care about the MIL but yes I do feel bad for Humayun because he loved her enough to go against his parents and what not but later got tired and brainwashed from all the jhik jhik. It's horrible that just cuz of his family, his life is ruined and he's being regarded as a 'low class'.
Why cudn't Humayun stand-up for himself (besides the drama coming to an end if he did) ? The new girl is pretty good and Sonya (sara) is an exceptional actress!
