Shahla and Umer are cousins, belonging to middle class families and are betrothed to each other since childhood. Shahla daydreams about Umer while he is in love with his classfellow, Sara. Sara belongs to a rich family, but is very grounded and sensible and in love with Umer as well. After much hurdles from their families Sara and Umer do end up getting married but that is the start of the drama not the end…Sara’s attempts to adjust in a completely new lifestyle are made harder by the dislike she faces from Umer’s family…who is torn between the two

Umaira Ahmed usually writes about women's rights or has some religious theme to her writing. I wonder if it's the same case here. I am VERY EXCITED that Umaira Ahmed has written the play and Mehreen Jabbar is directing it!! WOW!!! talk about a writer and director's dream come true :) Nevermind the audience ;-)
I hope we get to see it in the US next year.
yeah its pretty good..maybe its based on the Jaadu Tona thing as Shehla goes to such ppl with her friend..well in Shehla,i felt the typical Umera Ahmed's character(the type of character i like very much) The extremist,strange and impossible-to-understand..
the drama is fast and the plot quickly unfolds..i am enjoying it alot...
a great writer and director team...iss liyay drama so far is excellent and yes the pace is fast, no lingering on the same subject for 5 episodes! it has some major twists coming up...i love how the characters are so relateable...u can actually symapthize with them, i like the new girl (shehla) good acting!

*** and please agar kisy ko is ka end pata ho tou khuda kay liay,MAT BATANA,...they spoiled the ending of meri adhoori muhabbat like this,plz iska end koi na bataye..
*** And yes,mujhay bhi shehla,the new gal,bohat achi lagee hai....she is acting really great and hey,she is also very cute...pretty hai na? and uska style typical umera ahmed ke characters wala hai..so far so good...

hey deejah, abhi sirf 3 episodes hoay hain not 5, i was just making a point that the drama is unfolding quickly :) nothing much in the last 3 episodes, they showed how close umer and sara were in college, he proposes, she accepts...they graduate and now he is setting up his own business. shehla is in a world of her own, convinced umer loves her...and ya they introduced adnan siddiqui's character, a family friend who returned from abroad and who is dying to marry sara, thats about it, u didnt miss much.
yep shehla is really cute, i see her nowadays in other dramas too...finally a new face!!
Sonia Rehman is such an excellent actress. She's so very natural and I think underrated. She seems a bit older for this role, but she's so natural and flawless...
The Best play so far (Direction Wise). It has some problems with the cast and little bit with the lighting, mehreen jabar ke level ki nahi hai. but overall its excellent. And i am very happy that mehreen jabar is doing a big project so that more and more people ll see a good direction & acting.

i believe u are mixing her presenting of "main protagonist as woman" as women's right.
otherwise i never see her presenting one sided opinion. she always show what men and women are compatible doing of.
I have watched the first episode online and it's interesting. Sonia Rehman is very pretty and a very good actress as well, but she's quite fat. She'll look better if she loses some weight.
Finally an actress who relies on her acting skills rather than her skinny frame to get ahead...Atiqa Odho also reached the peak of her popularity after 'dasht' and 'sitara aur mehrunissa', despite her weight.
