I find it kind of disheartening that people are saying that “scholars are not doing enough …” or “where are the scholars?”

If they understood the “role” of the scholars … and their rank then may be these words would not be said …

Let me explain to my dear bretheren here … Scholars are around and used by us if only we seek them out and ask them for insight. It would be against the characteristis of the pious to “actively gain authority” or “limelight” … They would no doubt consider it something ill-mannered to PR themselves. Rather it shows the state of society that we would rather do everything ourselves or move towards the attractive light shows of celebrity icons … no longer do we seek consultation with scholars and no longer do we do istikhara (seek support from Allah (SWT) … rather we are the kings of our own fortune and our intellects are capable of sorting out our affairs … Only when we can’t sort out our own affairs we question … “where are the scholars?” …

We need to make them part of our lives … they won’t seek us out … why should they? They will be good authorities for us … only if we appointment them as authorities over us … for sure even the Mahdi will have to be forced to accept bayah …

Scholars are their but promblem is some people want them to interpret Islam according to choice of their Nafs and that will never happen
