The way I see He is just saying that Mangalsutra(type) custom is not part of islam because in islam an un-married girl and a married one are equally respectable and they are required to dress equally modestly
What I have seen through indian media that at least one purpose of Mangalsutra is to make it prominent that she is married and No man should see her as a future prospect and she deserves more respects from society which is indeed a good thing…
I may be terribly wrong about the purpose of Managsutra, please enlighten if this is the case
What Dr. Naik is trying to say is that Islam demand same level of respect for both virgins and married ladies. May be his example is a bit insensetive, but it was to make the point
His whole thrust is that according to his Hindu friend such behaviour is allowed by Hinduism but not by Islam
I will say that this is quite far fetched… his pov was that **hinduism demand more respect for a married women in comparison with an unmarried girl but islam demand equal respect and honour for both. **
You may disagree
You know the meaning of tons in english??? lemi find
What is spritual about it, Disposing off a dead body is natural and a requirement for eco system
His point make complete sense to me. I think hindus should opt for a better alternate than burning ( infact burning with wood is worst and such a huge loss to envirnment. ) I belive hindus can do this becuase they already got rid of ill practices like Sati and making option for remairage of widows and (to some extent ) minimizing the evils of caste system :k:
