Aitzaz Ehsan has just resigned from SC Presidency because of the very recent events taking place in lahore. Lawyers surrounded Sher Afghan Niazi (:CareBear:), he is reported to be having heart problems. I hope he recovers.
Atleast he has the dignity to step down and take responsiblity, and FEEL BAD, unlike the “father” of democracy.

Possible. He just found out about the lawyers and how they'd surrounded Sher Afghan Niazi's getaway vehicle, and asked the lawyers to calm down. After which, many/majority followed him back and calmed down a bit.
Maybe it's a show of power that he is incharge as far as lawyers moment goes. Because supposedly Zardari told him that he can pull out a march if he thinks it'll help their cause but he shouldn't dictate to PPP how and what they have to do.

Well right now he just condemned how the lawyers behaved, and in spite of that he just announced that he resigns from Presidency of Supreme Court Bar Assoc.

teggy I think teh lawyers behavior is just an excuse, lawyers behaved worse when they attacked other ppl they did not like, throwing hot daal, slapping, ripping clothes etc. That was worse..remember. I mean people cheered because the person being attacked was someone they did not like.
I think its power games between him and zardari or some 'understanding'

teggy lever theory can be disproved if an autopsy is allowed.
things happen btw, one of my good pals died when he fell from a ladder, got his foot stuck in a step and hit his head against the ladder frame. you never know.
In the end however, what got her does not matter, none of it would have happened had their not been 1) an attacker in teh crowd 2) her deciding to stick her body out of the bomb and bullet proof SUV. so miscalculation on her part..and the fact that an assassin was there, now whether it was a bullet, bomb fragment, impact on a part of the car or a heart attack..it really means nothing.

I don't know how you can laugh at such a horrible attack against Dr. Sher Afghan Niazi by these animal lawyers. Have you seen the tv pictures?

Well watch Geo and ARY now, and you will see the scale of the truly despicable attack on Dr Sher Afghan Niazi. This is big. Already people are out on on the streets in Mianwali protesting at the terroristic attack by the lawyers on Dr Afghan.
The least Aitzaz Ahsan could do is to resign. After all he is the one who has repeatedly threatened to besiege Islamabad, and even warned parliament, if the lawyers did not get their way.
The same lawyer leaders like Munir Malik etc were last year threatening to burn down the Supreme Court and lock up the judges. We warned these black coats were getting out of hand, and today is proof!

This incident is disgusting and I cannot condemn it enough. The lawyers should not stoop to the same low gutter level to which the previous govt under Mush did, beating up innocent women and children after imposing emergency to save his kursi. Where was Sher Afghan and other chamchas of the president when Imrans khans sister was being beaten up mercilessly in Lahore.
Two wrongs do not make a right and therefore the lawyers should not stoop to such low and disgusting levels.
Aitaza has resigned unlike some others who plunged the whole nation to the brink fo destruction to save their kursi. Difference between a man and a kid.

the point remains though aitezaz did not resign when lawyers attacked Naeem Bokhari.
I would say daer ayyad durast aayad..but ....then maybe getting a dressing down from Zardari played a role in it and this is not some altruistic gesture.
