That’s fine, but if this is how one feels (meaning they were pressured into it), is it really right to show off that you are a doctor? Not you personally, but people who do this.
I have so much respect for people who move to Canada and are doctors who actually go back to school here and redo all their exams and become practicing doctors here. They are the ones who truly love the field of medicine.
One woman I knew was newly married, had a newbord daughter, but that didn’t stop her. She was a qualified doctor from Islamabad, but here obviously she was not recognized as anything. She had to start from scratch, and she did it, despite having a new husband, newborn daughter. She also had no family here, so no real support system. She worked her behind off and is now practicing medicine here. These are the people who deserve to be called doctors and respected as doctors. Not the ones who come here, sit on their behinds and say, “hum tau doctor hain”.
