What’s the point of staying home for 3 months ?

I think that has to do with making sure that the woman is not carrying a baby before getting married again. No ?

iddat does not mean that you stay home for 3 months and cannot go out at all.

after divorce/hubby’s death women can get married again but after three months…as you said this is to ensure that she is not pregnant from her first hubby…and incase she was preg when she got divorced/hubby died then her iddat will finish as soon as she gives the birth.
