Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

but his interpretation of Iqbal’s poetry is many a times contradictory to what has been unanimously understood…

His ideas are more of secular nature… If you want to understand where I am coming from then listen to him on certain matters and then listen to Dr. Israr Ahmed on the very same matter … Both giving a reference from Allama Iqbal … You will know what I am talking about…

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

I actually have. Ermm yeh I think they were once discussing about mind, body, and soul. Javed Iqbal was saying that soul is not separate entity from body and it is actually sha'oor. On the other hand, Dr. Israar said that soul is a separate entity and blowed by an angel into mother's womb at later stage of pregnancy/ before birth. He also told other very interesting things, about which I had no idea before. It made a lot of sense though. Ermm I don't think the whole discussion was about Allama Iqbal's poetry, but Javed Iqbal did give some examples of what Allama said, on which Dr. Israar disagreed. Waiseh, they agreed on few points here and there. It was a very intellectual discussion, since they were not disagreeing with each other for the heck of it.

^ what wud u make of a guy who thinks social drinking is very much allowed in Islam....

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Siblings?

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

^ daada and naani, not daada and daadi....

such a marriage is called watta satta...

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

^ oh OH ohhhhhhhhhhhhh . whoa.

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

YEs I also disagree with Dr Javed Iqbal's views. HE is govong some non sense fatways now a days. Thats why I prefered his father and wrote Bint-e-Iqbal not Bint-e-Javed....!

Daada and Naani were siblings but Naana and Daadi are not siblings. So it is not watta satta.

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

So tell us some thing that we dont know, which can help us understand the Allama better. Is it right that in his last days and months he was very quiet and would not talk to people?

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

OMG - aren't you blushing vision?

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

:rotfl:…NO.

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

If he is secular then israr ahmed is a jamati (and oh well…).

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

but i am
im also an iqbali

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Dr Asrar Ahmad is a very good scholar and I like his views and teachings. About Dr Javed Iqbal, yes he is somewhat secular. I also dislike his views about soul and wine. Allama Iqbal will never appreciate such views.

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Ama bhayo !

Kia bachi ke peechey par gaye ho haath dho kar ?

Whats the big deal if she is a long distance relative of some famous personality ?

Merey Nanaa hazoor bhi Dr. Javaid Iqbal ke munshi they kabhi :Pagri: ( Seriously ! my great grandfather worked as his secretary for quite some time, when he was a young advocate in lahore way back in 60s )

Bhaijaan !
OMG bibi ko kia pata ke what he did in last days of his life ?
there are dozens of books available on the topic. Bechari khud bhi saarey bachoon ke saath assembly main roz ‘* Lab pe aati hai dua’* parh ke bari hoi hai :hehe:

Waisay, apas ki baat hai I have heard Allama Iqbal Jawani main kaafi rangeen mizaaj hotey they

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

Woh apni zindagi kay aakahri dinoon main Farsi shairi par zeyada tawajah daitay thhay. Raha ghar waloon say taluq, woh khamosh hi rahtay thhay kiyon kay woh aksar sooch bichaar main khoye rehtay thhay.

Ahhhhhhhhhh is qisam kay sawaloon kay liye hi to main nay Naumaan ko ijazat di thhi.

Yes I know people say that he married more than one woman. So whats wrong. My own Nanaa married two women and my mother is from second wife. Its a usual thing in our family as Islam does not prohibit this thing.

Allama Iqbal married more than one woman for the sake of child. As his all children died from his first wife so he married 4 women. Dr Javed Iqbal is from 4rth wife…what a releif could be for him. But now a days he is giving some no sense fatways…:bummer:

Re: Dr. Iqbal & Family (Source:OMG)

I was not refering to marraige thing, its no big deal

Actually I have heard a few things which i am not going to disclose anyway
because…

  1. it is word of mouth our suni sunayee batoon ko baghair tekqeeq ke agay nahi phelana chaheye :nono1:

  2. If it is true, even than, its about his youth. he later turned out to be a great muslim scholar and poet. s

  3. A muslim is not allowed to disclose negative aspects of other muslim’s life, which are otherwise concealed by Allah

Btw, Javaid Iqbal is not the only child of Allama Iqbal. Yousaf Salahuddin is the grandson( son of his daughter i guess) of Allama
