Asallam-0-Alakum,
I think most of us knows that OMG is grand daughter of Dr. Alama Iqbal. She her self is a very nice and open person. I asked her permission if i could open a thread so that we all could know more about the Dr. Iqbal’s life and specially his family life.
I hope if any one of you have some logical questions then she will be happy to answer them all.
OMG it will be great if you could share with us your family tree, and that how every one relates to Dr. Iqbal.

Thanks Namaan. Ok, I am here to answer the questions.
Our family tree starts from 1800 as the first person of our family accepted Islam. We start our tree from that person. Our ancesters lived in Kashmir then moved to Punjab for business purpose. Dr Iqbal was born in Punjab, but as you read his poetry, you will find his love for Kashmir. He called himself as a Kashmiri boy who just embrassed Islam.
My relation with him? He is cousin of my grandfather(Daada) and grandmother(naani) (My Daada and Naani were siblings) . And not only he was a poet in our family but our family is family of poets and painters. I am a painter, not a poetess. But my mother and brother are poets.

But now we are Muslims, just muslims. No Barhaman behaviour…no difference. That is the most beautiful thing of Islam. Isnot it?

How would she know his behavior with the family, she wasn't even born when Iqbal passed away. Illama Iqbal passed away on April 21st, 1938.
Ask something that she can answer and not assume.

C'mon people, before doubting her identity, ask yourself a simple question why would she fake this? I certainly don't think she's faking it. Being a family member of some famous person is not a sin, as you guys are making it seem like.
OMG, I am very keen to hear from you about Allama Iqbal. It'll be nice to hear/learn anything about him from his own family member. Erm, do you have any of your paintings to share?

If you are raised in pakistan, then you are taught this from kindegarten. Who was Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam and when were they born and when did they die.
I am not doubting her identity, I am just saying he passed away way before she was born.

he is Allama Iqbal's son, and i think Allama Iqbal wud hang his head in shame for having a son like that....
