Some find Muslims marriages to be immoral, maybe a clause that exemptions Muslims from receiving medical benefits for their partner should be put into place (assuming they work for the gov.)

It's time the GOP introduce such an exemption clause, I know it would have wide support in parts of their base.

As far as gay partners receiving the same beneifts as heterosexuals, it's really none of your damn business and doesn't cost you anything. If it's a priviliege for gays, then it's a privilege for you and who are you to have more benefits than someone else? Some would argue they were at least born in this country.

Seminole, in a typical liberal fashion you have missed the point. No hetrosexual without marriage receives benefits. I am talking about gays working for the city and federal govt... they are receiving benefits from my tax dollars... Kapeesh.

No, in my typical liberal fashion, I believe committed couples should have the same rights and benefits, regardless of the sexuality they were born with. I even think married heterosexual philandering dogs should receive the same beneifts as a monogarmous gay couple. Guess what? Your tax dollars also go to pay gays who are fighting for your freedom in the military in spite of being discriminated against and having to live their life in the dark. What if they didn't want to fight for your brown ass?
If you don't realize that some people find your beliefs abhorrent, that's probably good for you. I'm not about to list their reasoning.

It is your limited brain that fails to grasp a simple concept i.e. committed gay couples are not married, hence should not be afforded the same privileges that married heterosexual couples do. furthermore, read my posts carefully, I said that non married heterosexual couples should not recieve these benefits either. This is classic. Liberals are dismantling the Constitution? This conservative adminstration has made a mockery of Amendments 1, 4 & 6. Never mind suspending habeas corpus, a right afforded to citizens since the Middle Ages. Bigotry sure does blind people to the truth.
