Either this is the wrong forum ,or we are dicussing marriage frivilous rituals which is not islam or religious at all.As far cultural pollution that not only is widespread but readily acceptable by all muslims.All muslims dont have the same mothetongue,they are spread over all throughbout the subcontionent & world & varyu tremendously.

FYI bhai, Doodh is in the Corner room because it has sexual connotations in the eyes of the moderators.

The tradiition of mothers and the people in the boys family give the groom a glass of milk with badam etc in it, is meant to provide the guy some energy that he will need for the sexual activity on his first night with his bride. Its all for fun should be taken as such.

Nomaan, Tanha is correct.

Doodh in ancient times was pure and was calorie high. So on the first wedding night, the new couplw used to have milk and badaam which is also an aprodisiac.
And sex was more than 3 times in the night in those days.
Basically, nowadays milk is too diluted to make any difference so its more or a tradition or ritual.

Hey guys, if you don't want to take part in rasams cuz they're indian than don't. Just remember we were indians before we were pakistanis, so obviously we can't get rid of our culture. Why wear saris then? I think the mugul attire was shalwar kameez mostly. Or something. And why watch indian movies? Most of our culture is quite similiar to mainstream indian culture, you can't avoid that. As for the rasams, if you don't practice them with the superstitious or hindu religious reasons, and you do it only for fun- i doubt you'll get thrown in hell-fire! Not all muslims were meant to have arab culture...

wake up "Muslim" nation! PCG, you have pointed out our hypocricy. We hate India, but we love their movies. We hate India, but we love to follow Hindian culture. Why can't we be simply "MUSLIMS" (Pakistan was created in name of Islam) and discard all the non-Muslim stuff from our culture?

Changez Bhai, Hindustani culture is not simply hindu culture. It is desi culture, and includes desi muslims. And every desi, hindu , muslim, christian sikh etc. has a right to enjoy it.

Indonesia and Arab countries have muslims but they have their own cultures and enjoy it.

so many paks live overseas in aus, america, uk, india, china

if someone asks you if you are an indian
your reply would be 'hell no. I am a Pakistani I dont wanna be an indian'
