In the beginning of our marriage we lived with his parents, and they were obviously analysing my behaviour towards their son (we were spending a lot of time together), so one day when he was at work they sat me down and started giving me a strange advice. They said “don’t be too chipkoo to him, if you’re chipkoo then he will run away from you”.

I strongly disagreed with what they said because it never happened, I stayed chipkoo and he never tried to go after some other girl. I still think if they were truly sincere in their advice?

Well, to be on their side, they never said that “he will run away from you and go after some other girl” - they just said " he will run away from you". Two diff things in my opinion.
