My little one has about 25 dolls and they all have clothes, shoes and accessories.
I want some ideas on how to organize them so they aren’t just all in a toy bin.

Re: Dolls
Awwwww I used to play with alot of barbies too! i remember they had those huge shoebox types with a compartment for each doll and then a seperate compartment for clothes and shoes. but those could hold only 3-4 barbies at a time.
Somethin like this

Re: Dolls
Awe :D This thread makes me think about my bachpan!
My mom actually got me a bookshelf to put in my room ...where I kept all my dolls on after I was done playing with them. I had it so that all my dolls would be "sitting" on the shelves. hehe.
On the bottom shelf were tupperware containers which contained all of the dolls clothing and accessories.
I still remember when my mom got me it.... (she got it probably since she realized the doll collection was growing and overtaking the house. lol) ...... I felt so special that my mom had gotten me something for my dollies and that I was allowed to arrange the dolls anyway I wanted on them. She really emphasized that point to me... that I can arrange them ANY way I wanted on the shelf ..and she would never interfere... as long as they were put back on the shelf after I was done playing. I felt like I had so much control. lol. :D
Tupperware containers seems kinda lame as compared to those awesome barbie containers that Sara posted!! But they got the job done and kept the doll stuff organized. hehe.
I had another "book shelf" for my stuffed animals :@:
Re: Dolls

Re: Dolls

Re: Dolls
haha. No I need storage ideas :D
You can find good organizing things in Ikea:hmmm:
Re: Dolls
What type of dolls she have? For little tiny accesories - you can use a jewerly - earring storage with little boxes.
How about a hanging storage (like for shoes)
Re: Dolls
25 is far too many dolls. Chuck them all out - problem solved.
I hearby declare that playing with dolls is haram anyway, so all the more reason to have a clutter free house.
P.S - I sincerely hope that these dolls clothes are all abaya's WITH matching hijabs.
Re: Dolls
Haha, my daughter keeps getting dolls and stuffed toys… she must have over 30 by now, and the dolls are just not Barbies, she has those cute cloth dolls with braids (unbranded) and the crying baby dolls and that silly Baby Alive doll… ufffffff and those teeny tiny polly pocket dolls (which are the most annoying, they keep getting lost) and the disney princess dolls
Why oh why, do I keep buying them and why do people keep giving them at birthday parties… she got 5 as birthday presents last year ![]()
Niks, does your daughter have just Barbies or all type like my daughter does… organizing those is such a pain.
Re: Dolls
I am wondering why my daughter doesn’t have dolls?
Should I get her some?
Re: Dolls
I remember there was a big hoo-haa over Bratz dolls cz they were uhm....how you say.....by far more unIslamic than Barbie ever was/is.
Re: Dolls
She has mainly Barbies, Polly Pockets and then the regular baby dolls with feeding bottles and pacifiers.
I'm going to look at the above ideas. Thank you so much ladies.
How old is she? Does she have older brothers? I bet she wouldn’t be interested in dolls if she has older brothers.
My daughter has been in love with dolls since she was 1, has been collecting them since and she has to sleep with a doll or a stuffed toy in her bed :hinna:
Other kids have binkies, my daughter has dolls or bears in her bed. She sleeps with a Snow White baby doll and grumpy bear (from Care bears) these days
Re: Dolls
Niks, I have something like this RiverRidge Kids 6 Bins Storage Unit- Espresso : Target
Ikea has some awesome customizable storage ideas, you should check ikea.com

Not true Mia!!! My middle son has always wanted a baby sister. Since I'm DONE lol....I gave him the baby doll that I had when I was a kid. She looks like a real baby. "Molly the Dolly".
He took such good care of her lol!
...well, till Verzie squashed it anyway.
I like this. And I am stopping at IKEA today as well. Let’s see.

MIA - she's 5 and I have a 3 year old. No brothers.
Both of my daughters like to pretend play with each other.
both haven't really shown interest in dolls.

I guess then its okay, they have each other all the time na, mine is the only child so far and she is totally obsessed with dolls and dress-up, she even made me buy a dollhouse and loves to play with the dolls in it.
This reminds me of a funny incident... so we had a desi daawat at our place, there were 2 boys and 2 girls with my daughter (all kids 4 & 5 yrs. old) .... they go upstairs to her room to play with her dollhouse.... after they left, we were tidying up her room and I noticed the dolls missing, I asked my daughter where the dolls were and she goes "mama, they're all dead"......turns out that since the boys had no cars or guns to play with, they started pretend-playing and killing the dolls one-by-one..... the daddy died, then the mommy died and then the babies died, they threw them all in a bin.... I was horrified.
