Didn’t know where to put this, in religion or world, so I am just putting this in general.
Does your mosque or the Imam preach hatred or has such an attitude which indirectly preaches it?
I post on some gora forums and whenever profiling of Muslims comes up they always say how mosques are preaching hatred and preparing the next wave of jihadists. So do you believe your mosque is doing that? Have you ever been to a mosque that has done that?
The one mosque I go to in Houston, their Friday sermons are so vague, that I don’t even know what they mean, let alone if they are even preaching any kind of hatred. Topics range from “Light of Allah’s divinity” to “The Prophet’s compassion and kindness”. These are all just textbook kind of sermons.
The mosque I used to go to in Pakistan was more of the same. It was a jamia masjid. But this other mosque I went to a few times in Pakistan, now it didn’t outright preach hatred, but it’s topic were always paranoid about how the KUFFAR are taking over the world and how kafirs are God less and how they are spreading evil. To me, that sounded that preaching hatred towards all the non-Muslims who lived in Pakistan. Those sermons were brainwashing people into thinking that all these Christians and Hindus in Pakistan were evil and somehow less human than us Muslims.
I never went to one of those “Hari Pagri Wali” mosque, so I don’t know what they talked about. But those Noorani masjid sermons were always very charged.

nope, there was one time this mullah got into politics during eid sermon once, but i guess they kicked him out as i never saw him again. the new molana is molana shabbeer. his sermons are very nice and on relevant topics and u can actually understand what he is talking about. he comes on some tv show about religions as well.

The Imam's at our Mosque have always equally condemned both OBL/Al-Qaeda and also our governments for their foreign policies and I agree with them.
I don’t think any Mosque can preach irrational hatred and expect it’s congregation to not leave, I think it’s more the cults who can easily brainwash young naïve college/uni age people who are gullible, annoying thing is these cults have gone uninhibited in Britain for a very long time...

Condemning injustices against Muslims is a praiseworthy thing but in response they shouldn’t justify terrorism against innocent civillians.. People who think they’re avenging an Afghan by blowing up a bus full of kids have seriousss issuess…
Also it’s petty hypocritical to sit in this country enjoy all the benefits and pay taxes which’ll be used to fund the armies going to invade Muslim Lands and then sit in your armchair and wing, if such Muslims are sincere they should pack their bags and do Hijrah.

Our Imam doesn't preach hatred. He does point out negative tendencies he sees in the muslim population around here, and then gives us suggestions how to better ourselves. He'll mention vague things like how muslims are going through some challenges these days, but nothing more than that. And even then, he gives suggestions on how we can better ourselves as a community and as individual muslims, instead of complaining about kuffar or crap like that.

Right now our Imam sahib is asking the mothers of brats to teach them how to behave in the masjid including how to use the bathroom, apparantly some little kid peed in the lota and it raised quite a stir.

No...i haven't heard hatered anywhere...And I am one of those ...who goes to different mosques in the area....Never heard of anyone spreading any hatered...

Haha...that's funny. You know, I don't know why masjids don't do this, but the ladies group should appoint people to look after kids while they're menstruating and don't wish to read namaz.

Why the hell do women go to the masjid if they have their periods, if they can't pray??? There's already little space for the ladies, they're just there, wasting it..

If the mans has moronic political opinions that have nothing to do with islam, that he spills in the mosque, i have all the right to call him that and give em the finger or whatever i want. he isn’t god you know. it doesn’t matter who i pray behind, since i am not praying to please anyone, but Allah. Allah sees all, and knows all, etc.

you are putting words in my mouth dude. I didn’t call him God nor did I ask you to agree everything that he says. you have rights to do whatever you want. no denying that. all I said was that, if you call someone an idiot, accepting him as an Imam and praying behind him maybe percieved as double standards. If I don’t have respect for someone, I wouldn’t pray behind him. if you are satisfied with your prayers in doing so then thats all that matters.

never been to a mosque in the last 9-10 years now. but b4 that i used to go and i don't think i ever heard any imam preaching hatred or calling for the killings of christians. their sermens were good, precise and to the point. i still don't think its happening these days , its just that americans and co don't want them to talk about the sufferings of the muslims all over the world. bcos they know without mentioning USA and israel, you simply cannot talk about any problem faced by the muslims todays. either they have direct involvement [iraq, israel] or indirect [most middle eastern countries] where kings and rulers are in power only bcos they have the backings of USA.
