Our imam(s) give pretty good sermons, talking about islam in general and mostly the sermons are very thought provoking.

I agree.. No freedom of speech anymore, point towards their acts of terror and it gets labelled ‘indirect incitement to terrorism’.

I’ve removed posts from this thread. I know this is a really hard concept for some of you, but if you are going to post, then at least attempt to be respectful. That really is not expecting too much from adults.
Back on topic, I agree with you Sara. Part of the reason why I am not regular at our local (desi) masjid is cause a lot of women just go there to socialize. Many, many, many times, it has gotten to the point where you can’t even hear the Imam or his khutba. They let their kids run buck wild, don’t even attempt to quiet them down and God forbid we say anything to them, asking them to be quiet …

btw that was a typical response just like a dictator. those who speak truth, make them disappear. here those who post truth, make their posts disappear. afterall when else will you get the chance to show your loyalty to your masters.

probably not too many do anymore. i doubt there exist many Imams in America that don’t realize they’ll be chilling in Camp X-ray with a plunger up their butt if they say the wrong things.

imams should be dynamic people who can make people their faith and fight against fake westernization and accepting americans as their god fathers and imams must be practical in approach...but unfortunately many imams r "mouth fires"...my local mosque belongs to hari pagri and these guys r happy with their salaam,milat etc etc

No one says anything wrong in Masajid…
You must unhypnotize yourself from the media and actually go to a Masjid to see what they speak of…
Your statement is like that of a person who has not seen what is behind a wall but is simply shouting and screaming what he heard someone say…
It’s not your fault but is the result of a well planned propaganda campaign on a simple mind…

anyways, i know for a fact this is not true. I remember a friend of mine debating whether or not to petition his mosque to get rid of a certain Imam because of his anti-semitic “kutbahs”
you don’t think its easy for an Imam’s discussion on political situations to turn into hate preaching, with Jews and America being the most likely targets?
i think it’s more than plausible.

Yeah mullahs never preached hatred. Those people killing Ahmedis, Christians and Shias must have gotten the idea from Terminator 2 or Die Hard.

Mullahs do better to stay out of politics. They get too emotional and then make really wrong decisions that end up being hurtful for too many people.
