Obviously, Pakistani cities excluded since they all have eleventy million FM and AM stations.
Houston has 2 regular ones on AM, and a couple more on weekends. I think one is Indian owned, while the other is Pakistani owned judging just by the ads that get played. But both pretty much play Bollywood music. Since it’s AM, both sound horrible. The DJs aren’t really professionals, and everything is an advertisement.
In Dallas they have a desi FM station. It’s alright, nothing special. But it’s kind of strange that Dallas has an FM station and not NY or LA.
We have a couple in Toronto... but nothing worth talking about - pretty lame overall with tons of ads.
When I was in Dubai in 2005, I got to listen to a couple of their stations and was pretty impressed by the broadcast content as well as the programming. It really helped the long traffic jammed commute for the couple of days that I was there.

probably easy to just import a few professional one from desh. Here they are part time radio DJ and part time gas station/beauty salon/dry cleaning business owners.
Not that there is anything wrong with any of those businesses, but obviously they are not pros.
yea calgary has one too it mostly starts around 6-7 in evening n time is shared by sikh community n pak community but yes mostly Ads. only once a while there r interesting discussions but the pak guy speaks horrible horrible urdu.
yeah Radio Fazaa i think its called, its all about Islam. there used to be adverts on it, made by regular aunty jis and uncles from the sound of their bad acting, but now there dont seem to be any ads. then again i dont really listen to it so could be wrong.
theres also the national bbc asian network radio station but that just seems to play r 'n' b music, at least whenever ive tuned in it is.
They probably are. I don’t get why they air khutba on Jumma. Only Muslims are going to listen to it, and I doubt most of their viewers are Muslim since there are probably more Hindus there amongst desis.

They play some other religions programs too. Also, the Muslim community in dallas is huge. Almost as big as it is in Houston if not bigger.

Radio Salam Namaste is not Pakistani-only or Indian-only, there are few Pakistani hosts who play Pakistani songs, some hosts play mixed while some hosts mostly Indian songs. On weekends though, it becomes non-Hindi, not sure if its Tamil or Telugu.
