Trolling the ladies of life1 doesn’t pass for serious discussion. Every time someone wastes their time engaging you in serious discussion and your position is shown to be ridiculous, you fall back on the trolling excuse. Why should anyone take you seriously?

I asked you what your position was about the topic of the thread. As expected, you didn’t answer that because you’d rather take a position on someone else’s position. Are you saying that being a Pakistani and posting on a Pakistani board, one should find solace in the fact that some other country also has a medieval law on its books. Every time one finds a shortcoming in Pakistan, one should scout the world to make sure that no other country has the same problem. If someone finds another country, one should discuss them first or risk losing the patriotism certificate that zafra issues.

I am not going to defend something stupid that the west did back in the day so put that strawman aside. I will move on by saying that they were stupid and backward. Thankfully, they have moved on. Does it make you feel better that Pakistan is as backward as the west was 200 years ago?

Why should one have to discuss other countries here to begin with? This what-aboutism is the hallmark of apologists. When they can’t defend an absurd position they divert attention by saying “what about this or what about that.” There is just no end to it.

Regardless you want my views. Blasphemy legally is a violation of freedom of expressions which every single human being has a right too. As Voltaire said: “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” That applies to all regardless of what they believe or think. So I do not agree with the Blasphemy laws.

However I do not make a distinction as you have or Bella has with regard to which nation state holds these laws. Kinda like how you said what they did 200 years ago. You do know that the blasphemy law was used in Germany and Finland in the last 10 years? So not so 200 years ago. By your example Pakistan is neck and neck with Germany and Finland not 200 years behind.

Also I am not pompous. I am confident. Yes I am that good. Or its hubris…but eh we will find out during my tragic fall.
