Its place of worship for monotheists.
Ran by people of makkah.

people of makkah had their idol and invited guests for worship.

People of makkah went back to monotheism.

Where and how is it wrong to make their worship place the way they wanted??

history has 2 sides. many people can view breaking of the idols as very disrespectful to their faith.
