WHILE watching the highlights of the Commonwealth Games every night on PTV, I was disappointed to note that the sound became muted every time the Indian national anthem was played during an award presentation where an Indian won the gold medal. Also, while televising the highlights of the closing day ceremony, PTV abruptly cut off the segments that featured Bollywood stars.
PTV has to seriously rethink its censor policy, or else be ready with scissors to chop off most of the opening and closing day ceremonies of the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi. The presence of Bollywood stars, with their song and dance routines, at those ceremonies is a foregone conclusion.

PTV is a publicly funded channel and they have every right to block stuff which does not agree with the general masses' sensibilities, bollywood stars or no bollywood stars.

I love PTV but I think they shouldnt do all this, I mean its not like we will migrate to India after hearing that boring composition the Bhindians call their national anthem.

ptv has double standards as they are telecasting a prg 'cine world' on wednesday.so-called history of cinema.they are showing the scenes and songs of indian movies in it.i hate this because a national channel should have some rules and morals but they are such a hypocrite.like a majority of us.they are not clear what to do and what is good for pakistanis or muslims.they only see the mood of government.it is their whole policy.

I remember how PTV was once showing the sharjah cup, and WorldTel played a clip from the prior year, where Saeed Anwar made a century and right after that they showed a glimpse of Zardari applauding, and immediately they cut transmission for the five minutes.
The morons also used to censor out the section of the crowd with indian flags at one time. However, its much better now, and soon this bakwas will be a thing of the past.

PTV is the state owned media out let in Pakistan and its not publicly owned. The privately owned channels in Pakistan don’t have a problem with that. Apart from the state media in Pakistan, I don’t think any one has a problem with the Indian media. But on the other part its Indian private media which has a real problem with even the private Pakistani media out lets. Recently there was review done in London by some media critics that with all the wealth and technology available in todays age, the Indian film industry still finds it hard to show an actual Pakistani flag in its movies. The flag shown is always incorrect or disproportionate, not only this with almost 130 million muslims in India they always show muslim praying their daily prayers in a way which is not even remotely close to the actual prayer style of muslims.
