I hate to admit it but i have let myself go, before marriage I used to dress up for school ALOT, full makeup, hair done everyday and...HEELS. OMG i used to be able to wear HEELS.. But after wedding I stopped... for davats and stuff of course I dressed up (still do) but the way my ilfe is right now, the everyday dressing up has stopped and I feel bad sometimes when he jokes that I dress up more for my friends than for him. :(

^ But thats the way it should be. BCOS... IF you were totally dressed up and made up 100% of the time, he will always see you like that and THAT will appear normal to him. If you are totally dressed up all of the time, HOW will he be able to notice you differently, I mean WHAT is going to make him sit up and pay attention???

hmm there are two sorts of looks, ones that you manage and ones that you cant. You can manage whether you are a couch potato with a fat gut but you cant control your height or complexion. Aesthetic sense is part of nature, however i think mannerism makes more of mark in married life than superficial beauty. A guy or girl can be exceptionally good looking and terribly selfish or cheats in which case the beauty would be useless. However a person can grow beautiful in your eyes depending on where your heart is. I personally consider looks secondary to personality.

I know a lot of guys look for beautiful women. and it is kind of same everywhere. but my perception is once when you have been with a person for a while, everything seems to fade away. it all becomes normal. the kind of things that you look for, beauty included, does not matter any more. or does it? i just want to know what married people think about all this?
You are 100% correct.
Physical beauty matters less and less as you grow old with your spouse and it is replaced by your inner beauty.

if you are lucky enough to marry a person with a good personality and heart their attractiveness increases every day-- the more you get to know them. Someone ppl who are not attractive at first sight become more attractive as you get to know them, and sometimes you start noticing flaw in attractive ppl the more you get to know them

You find beauty for whole of your life, i want that the married women should be so talented/tactful that she can make her husband so satisfied & kept his attention towards her that he cannot think of other girls even if she is more beautiful & more physically attractive then her wife.
There may be certain ways to do that.
First she should take care of his routine /domestic household issues, husband thinks that 'she" can handle routine matters efficiently.
Second She should be looking decent in light makeover , welcome him with pleasant smile esp. when her hubby came from job. She should be wearing nice latest fashion outfit.
Third She will remain beautiful if she take care of her body shape , using the 'weapons' she got effectively.
Fourth She she shall remain dynamic & Provide what her hubby satisfied most, ie:in the bed time.Do what his hubby pleases the most but in a decent manner.
There are many more ....
In the recent scenario where women are more & man are less in no.s , every man can easily be a part of scandal with a girl(you all understand i mean) the availability & abundance of unmarried woman who should got married times ago, but due to many reasons they are un-married.A married woman have a greater responsibility at her end.
So Keep up the good work & make your life happy forever.

I totally agree with this extremely narrow-minded, shallow and chauvinistic attitude of the "man" in the house.
Moreover, I think men need to keep the cash flowing, just the way women need to keep themselves well-groomed... to live a happily wedded life.
Because the way men get distracted when they see other sexier women... wives also get distracted when they see other, ambitious, athletic and wealthy men.
