If egg rolls are like veg / chicken spring rolls, where does the egg bit come into it?
Try doing all the stuff at the weekend, get ppl round to help u.
Or make the stuffing one day and stuff the patties the next.

Re: Does anyone prepare iftari food in advance and freeze it?
I think they r called jalapeno poppers in america.
Easy, cut jalapenos in half lengthways, boild in half salted water, half vinegar for about a minute till slightly soft.
Mix grated mozarella with some cream cheese, sprinkle in a teaspoon of cornflour, some crushed garlic.
Fill each chilli half with the cheese mix, roll in flour, egg, breadcrumbs twice.
Deep fry until lightly brown if u want to freeze, or golden brown if u want to eat right then.
They are DELICIOUS!!!
Re: Does anyone prepare iftari food in advance and freeze it?
We mostly freeze stuff like samosas, egg rolls/spring rolls, boil chanas, and the baras of dahi baras.
Re: Does anyone prepare iftari food in advance and freeze it?
I think freezing things over a longer period (15-30 days) lose taste and quality...
Re: Does anyone prepare iftari food in advance and freeze it?
no they don't
Egg rolls and spring rolls are two different types of rolls and from different cusines. Egg rolls are Chinese made with flour sheet and usually the one we desis eat. Spring rolls are Veitnamies, made with thin translucent rice sheets and filled with veggies and some protien like toufu or shrimps.
But where does the egg go in an egg roll???
In the dough.
