to make you breakfast?.. It’s like dude come-on.. let the poor gal sleep and throw slices down the toaster your self, eat and leave!
I personally wouldn’t do that but what about you all?

Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
^ lol.. * MCsings* " all the married ladies, all the married ladies put your sandles up.. huh oh oh huh hoh"
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
Ok. Seriously. You people eat parathas for breakfast?
That will never happen in my household. It's a heart attack on a plate.
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
^ hmm not even on weekends?
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
Mc12IT, depends. It can be a romantic gesture after a long night of being really exhausted...
If you are unable to fully exhaust someone, then the least you can do is make them breakfast. So, either way, yeah you should wake up in the morning and at least help out.
It's so cute - my dad wakes up my mom for work, and he makes her breakfast as she leaves 2 hours earlier than him.
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
No. I've grown up with talli hui haath ki roti in the mornings, but that's a luxury. IF haath ki roti was even made the previous night.
My dad is diabetic, so my mom makes haath ki roties all the time now, and so he has a lightly grilled haath ki roti in he morning sometimes.
Otherwise, no, paratha is serious heavy stuff. Not something we gujrati-memon types in Karachi are used to.
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
Waisay really what is the big deal about expecting to have a breakfast ready by your wife? I mean hubby should be compassionate and if wife was tired or something, let her sleep, but under normal circumstances, if he can get up to go to work (for his family), why cant he expect from his family (wife in this case) to help him by fixing some quick breakfast for him? Its not that many guys are expecting anday/parathay or halwa/puri nashta on weekdays, anyways.

Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
TLK, I think what is fair is that a couple decide what's easiest for them and stick with that. Every couple is different. Some couples - the wife is at work way earlier than the husband and cannot possibly make breakfast. For some, the wife sits at home, so she can help her husband out by making things easier in the morning. Some women will make lunch bags for the husband, but some husbands just want to eat at work rather than brown bag it. Depends on the couple and what they're comfortable with. Can't say yet what I'll be doing, because my schedules can vary. I typically just drink a glass of milk every morning and that is my breakfast. Healthiest thing you can do.

Exactly what is the big deal there, how long does it take to do it your self anyways? I find it amusing to wake someone up for a bowl of cereal that you wanna eat.. that's all
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
Hubby does not wake me up, but often I make him breaKfast anyway. Usually he’s in too much of a rush. And now he does breakfast with his boss at work. Good networking. ![]()

Oh I agree totally. Especially if wife also works or she is a nursing mom waking up 3 times a night to feed the babies or taking care of a big household (MIL, FIL, KIDS), hubby should give her a break by taking care of himself (contd.) ..

... but if she has a small family and she is available, what is the big deal about making him coffee and offering a bowl of cereal to him. A little love goes a long way.
Re: Do You Wake Your Wife Up
^ maybe it's about whether or not he is demanding it or she is offerring.
