I guess I restrict her stuff enough that I am not as worried about the evil eye type of thing, with bad wishes. I don’t know, people say even when people look at someone with a lot of love/admiration it can lead to nazar (from parents, grandparents, etc). I haven’t read enough to really understand. I’ve never thought about this in the past. But it’s not about blaming others’ bad wishes for a child’s sickness.

I very much believe that this is just a cultural myth, I have yet to come across a proper Islamic backing for this silly belief.
