Re: Do you think twice?
Lol yourfriend. For every parent their child is the most beautiful and the biggest blessing. I'm not paranoid about nazar though I do believe in it. All duas during my prayers ask for my kids protection and good health and safety. But I do post their pics on my fb and on GS with people I like and trust.
they just took my words literally and personally... although we use motay kaalay chootay lambotaray etc etc words everyday......i dont see a problem with sokha sarRa....lol ...afsoos kuch ki aqal per....
....yeah u r right...i say u just do your prayers and dont blame others if your baby got fever or something...
Re: Do you think twice?
It is ok to disagree with an opinion, but certainly not ok to disrespect it or the person who has it.
Re: Do you think twice?
I guess I restrict her stuff enough that I am not as worried about the evil eye type of thing, with bad wishes. I don't know, people say even when people look at someone with a lot of love/admiration it can lead to nazar (from parents, grandparents, etc). I haven't read enough to really understand. I've never thought about this in the past. But it's not about blaming others' bad wishes for a child's sickness.
Re: Do you think twice?
I wonder if Gorey kids also get nazar?
We Muslims believe in nazar, but your faith in Allah and in your prayers must be lot more stronger than your concern for such things.

I very much believe that this is just a cultural myth, I have yet to come across a proper Islamic backing for this silly belief.
