The girls could go out in groups or be dropped off and picked up by a relative but obviously a lot of parents would still say ‘no’..

Here in the UK I honestly think most of the time the safety thing is just an excuse.. ('What if she meets someone? Arranged marriage goes down the drain)..

Like I said, if it’s safe then why not? You’re probably right about the arrange marriage excuse but I haven’t actually heard of a forced marriage in my immediate family here or even in Pakistan so I didn’t think of that.
