My argument , if its an one off job .. he should get a chance to cure his illness

If its way beyond treatment .. put him in a prison till death

If state is too poor to bear the expenses … execute him

Judgement is a gradual process .. you don’t have to go for the extreme option unless and until its badly needed ..

I am not sure if you to pay extra attention in NEWS to what these child molestors do to innocent kids. If you did, you would not be speaking of their rights and emotional health, believe me.

well I have a neutral and positive stance over this issue …

believe me I have met few people here n there who were molested in their childhood .. mostly by religious teachers , back in Pakistan … and catholic priests here in Ireland .

I have examined the trauma and pain .. Few of them gone through ..

For serial offenders .. I do suggest execution , if necessary ..

When we a different set of punishment for Zina biljabar and Zina bil raza …. Or
when we have a different criteria of punishment of a married zani or *unmarried zani *

Why not have the same standard for child molesters

With kids, its always bil jabar ..

and I am not talking about pakistani mulla, moletsing kids .. I am talking about serial offenders who kill the child after raping her ..

and most of those killings happen by registered sex offenders. That means that guy was caught before, but was given a very light sentence and let go..

next time around, cause he cannot afford to get caught, he kills the child ..

Leting him go after one time is a mistake

What if some one has committed this heinous crime under some mental illness?

under some depression . rage .. in a fit of anger ….

My argument for serial offenders.. I have mentioned it many times …. I don’t have to go over again and again …

If they are serial offenders….. Life imprisonment or execution

What ever judiciary decides among those two options ….

But in case of castration ... there is no given surety, no assurance that the crime wont happen again

Punishment is all about preventing and impeding in my books

perhaps you didnt read my post...in the case of a sexual offender...the crime WONT happen again if you take away their weapon.

and to answer your question...I dont know about others but I dont believe in giving second chances to REPEAT offenders. How many chances is one suppose to give them? We can't give those innocent children a second chance...... so why should we give these offenders one?

EDIT: I also want to add....I think that we are giving them a second chance...a chance to live by not executing them if this castration punishment takes effect.

AQ as disturbing as it sounds... in some instances they do.....sexual mutilation does/can happen before/after/during the rape.

child porn is another subject .. but child was involve to create that porn .. right?

and it was created so someone can enjoy that .. so the viewer is part of that crime ... supply is there cause demand is there.

In USA, possesion of child porn is a crime

Tats what I am asking do you guys think that Castration or execution are the fit punishment for these crimes also. Coz the ppl who watch child porn or molest a kid can also go a step farther to actually rape a child. Child porn is crime here in US and the punishment is imprisonment.

So, as I understand: Punishment of Castration is in lieu of the punishment actually prescribed by Islam - that is "Rajm" or "lashes"

Either you want Islamic punishment to be implemented or you want to create your own set of moral punishments such as castration. To each on his own.

for them my options are life imprisonment or execution..

you might bring the argument that Rape is hirabah and deserves severe punishments as mentioned in the Qur'an 5:33.

It doesn't require four witnesses to register the case as in the case of Zina (consensual sex).

Those who were punished by stoning (rajm) in Muhammad's {PBUH} time were also punished under hirabah for raping, sexually assaulting women, and spreading vulgarity in society through prostitution.

So its just perhaps you who acknowledge that we are giving them a second chance...a chance to live by not executing them if this castration punishment takes effect.

But in reality you are humiliating them in a long run for a crime …

Who knows castration may makes them more ferocious ..
