So, as I understand: Punishment of Castration is in lieu of the punishment actually prescribed by Islam - that is "Rajm" or "lashes"

Either you want Islamic punishment to be implemented or you want to create your own set of moral punishments such as castration. To each on his own.

last i checked we dont live in an islamic country nor do we follow islamic laws in the USA. when was the last time you saw someone getting lashed here in states?

as much as I love to bring Islam into everything....you just cant in this case.....no judicial court nor congress will listen.

that's right.... we do not live in islamic country so we are not allowed to talk about islamic punishment nor we are supposed to root for them.. yep.!

OK, let's put Islam aside because we are talking about the U.S. here and not a Muslim country.

Look at it logically without getting emotional. You have a problem; child molestation. What can be the right solution? It's foolish to think that therapy or counseling or some sort of jail time is going to fix a pervert. The mentality will persist as long as the ability exists to molest. So, you have to take away that mentality and urge to molest a child. It seems logical that castration would end this problem once and for all for that individual. They will NOT be able to molest again, and I think it's fair to say that a would-be molester will think twice before doing anything if they know what they have to lose . People say oh, he will just express his desires another way. Well, wouldn't it better if he sits at home watching porn than going out and acting it out himself? And please don't whine about his rights or whatever; what about the rights of the molested that he violated? If he has no respect or regard for the rights of others, than he has lost his.

Castration is obviously the way to solve the problem.

Some people are for execution and some for castration…

How about castration first and then execution? Both parties will get to see their share of punishment.

Surgical Castration instead of Chemical.The Chemical one is reversible and is actually injections of Depo Provera.

Some of the States here in USA are contemplating the execution sentences for repeat child molesters. I totally agree with that.

BY TLK Yes to most girls around 10 ish. And last I heard Hareem a10 years old is still considerd as a child. BTW this was not the point of my post.

I agree with TLK. From todays standards even a 16 years old is considered a child.
