I don’t know, when I watch certain non-Islamic movies and read non-Islamic books, for some non-Muslim people that’s part of dating, they have sex where ever, during a date. I even have some friends, Dutch friends, who had sex during a date. Even years ago, in school I had Dutch friends who had sex during a date… So I suppose for some people dating is having sex, in the backseat of a car, or anywhere else, from what some Dutch people told me. It’s normal in some cultures. And it’s their own choice, if that’s what they want in life. 
But not all people I know had sex during a date, some kissed and others didn’t do anything, they didn’t like their dates. Personally, I was never allowed to date. When I was married off to my cousin, we had one conversation with our family members there, that’s it. I didn’t like that. If I’d get married again, I’d like to have many conversations before deciding if that’s the person I’d like to have as a husband. Some people consider that dating too, just having conversations, I don’t know. For me it’s not.
Dating is different for everyone, like with flirting, nobody really seems to know what dating really is. This is about trying to find a definition for dating:

I never dated... but I feel .. I probably should have had more friendly interaction with men.. i was grumpy.. stayed away from boys.. the reason being... it makes it easier when dealing with suitors later.. you are more relaxed with conversation and the whole thing doesn't seem like oh my goodness.. how do i look.. how do i act.. you are more natural... so for me.. i think dating would have helped me... with my fiance.. he was the one to make me comfortable and be patient... and yes.. i do want to go out on movie dates and candle light dinners.. to which i have told my fiance... i ain't having a baby till I feel like I had enough fun as a couple...because I wanna do all the fun stuff I missed in my 28 yrs..
So looking fwd to all that fun after shaadi!! woohoo!
