Do you regret not dating

How many of you never dated or had gf or bf before getting married? Do you regret not having that experience? Many times when I talk to friends or see young girls these days having fun without worrying about family responsibilities I envy them deep down because I couldn’t experience that.. while I am lucky to have a wonderful and loving hubby.. part of me wonders how it would be like if we went on dates before even being engaged or nikahed.. what the feeling would be like?

share your experiences!

Re: Do you regret not dating

"not having that experience" is an overused phrase.

u dont do things just for experience so you dont regret them later. you do stuff you want to.

personally, if u reflect at a later point in your life and regret things on a major scale, then it just shows a void in your present life. the past is gone. our state of mind is ever changing.

Re: Do you regret not dating

Lifeless.. what I meant was that what kind of feelings would we have for each other if we met each other and dated each other.. I meant me and hubbs! I have always wondered because many time the youngsters have so much glow when they say 'he is the one" just makes me want to experience that feeling.. :)

Re: Do you regret not dating

The only benefit I expect people to gain from dating is getting a better understanding of themselves and what they like, dislike, can tolerate and not tolerate in the opposite gender.

Re: Do you regret not dating

omg awww. experience it nowwwww. it could be like we hadn’t met before but we’re so meant to be :phati: m’A, i’A?

Re: Do you regret not dating

I never dated...

Your post gives the impression that DATING is a "mandatory" ritual to be performed before marriage and somehow people who missed this ritual might be missing something wondful. Unfortunately this is not the case. If DATING was to avoid most of the post marriage conflicts by letting you choose compatible people, western marriages would have success ratio of 99.99%.

If by your post you mean people who have missed dating have missed some "exciting times", then people who do date long before marriage miss soul of first night.

I had girl friends but not "gf" so I guess no I never dated and I like it like that ~~~

Re: Do you regret not dating

And I mean A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I try to kick my self(but could not) for letting pass all the "good stuff" And I mean real good stuff. really!! I mean trust me!!

SUCH AN IDIOT I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Do you regret not dating

imo dating is complicated. you should take it as a credit to yourself that you did not get involved. it has very cruel and not-so-nice aspects.

Re: Do you regret not dating

i got engaged at 17................so didnt get anytime for dating.............but allahumdullah i m happy...............

Re: Do you regret not dating

^ i got married at the age of 18 :(

I never dated and have no regrets about it.

Re: Do you regret not dating

Dating is like renting a car. Renting a car to see which features you like and which features you dont like. If you dont like the car, you just return it (move on) and if you like it, you buy it (get married) BUT you never drive rented cars (dates) with care as you drive your OWN car (spouse). You dont take rented cars seriously like you take you own car. When you rent a car (date), you look for luxaries and perks (how does the date look like) but you can still end up getting a crap engine under hood if you buy it just for looks and finally.....chances of getting killed in an accident are equal no matter if its rented car or u owned it.

Dating is a waste of time, not dating would make the expereince of marriage 100 times more worthwhile imo.

Re: Do you regret not dating

You didn't miss out on much......

:omg:

I bet its very with the strict girls.

Re: Do you regret not dating

Dating is highly over-rated, no?

Re: Do you regret not dating

haha well it's good to know this :).. hubbs and I are very happy massallah :).. and I think Decent 6Chora couldn't have explained the purpose of dating better so I guess it's not all that exciting huh!

Re: Do you regret not dating

Hubby and I dated for about a year. I would have to say that was the most FUN time in my life but whose to say that you can't have that now.

Plan a date. Do something spontaneous. Anything that is not routine.

yeah and then there are taxis, you know, you pay you get transport. there are also buses which are cheaper than taxis, but the crowd can be a little off putting.

there are short lease options as well which although technically not renting is essentially the same but it may be seen more favorably.

for more exotic cars there are these timeshare abilities where multiple ppl pay into it and have a few days a month/year with the car or cars.

exciting industry.
