Do u think, this is good or bad, in the context of themes that degrade women? Surely, not the whole indian society is like that, but our Pakistani society is catching on the ills quick… ptv is already headed that way, so what to u is the solution to the problem of more and more Pakistani families wanting and condoning the productions of the indian t.v and films?

Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
I can not even imagine my family watching Indian productions. They don’t even watch Pakistani dramas/movies. and i don’t either. once in a blue moon is ok. i have seen a couple of episodes of Indian dramas and the experience was not good at all. every sentence they speak is preceded and followed by many seconds of silence. every move is highly affected and accompanied by music that’s jarring and does nothing other than heightening a sense of its own incongruity with the action. one hundred thousand rupee sarees worn in the kitchen while doing domestic work. replaying every other scene, some scenes only in slow motion. its an artistic nightmare. and I marvel at those Paks and Indians who can watch these things. the movies are nothing but musicals. (i admit that i have watched a number of movies- like 2/3 last year- and I like the dance of european women in the background when the hero and heroine express their love in the form of melodious songs.)
many Pakis are following them. after all they are related to each other.
honestly i think indians can do a lot better. they have the talent and they should use it. i saw a movie ‘Black’ a few months back. no song, was not a typical indian formula film, but i loved it. thats what i call a good cinematic production.
is it good or bad? something people have to decide for themselves. for me most productions are bad not because they are Indian but because they are tasteless. i don’t watch these productions but i don’t religiously avoid them. i’m ok with it if it has some artistic merit.

Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
The only person who is interested in anything indian in my family is my "baybay", but anything that is newer than 1970 is a big NO NO. Only old songs or Old movies.
None of my siblings care about anything Indian. & I dont even know the names of Indian actors/actresses. I know Wahida Rehman, Surayya, Madhu Bala, Geeta Bali, Kishore Kumar, Raj/Daleep/Sanjeev/Perdeep Kumar etc only because of my baybay watching old movies
Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?

Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
It is so sad that we don't promote our own entertainment industry; Pakistan is filled with people that are ten times hotter/more beautiful than those in bollywood and I still hear phrases like "Dino Morea is so hottttt"; It sickens me. (Btw, I also can't believe people think of ashwarya ray as the most beautiful girl in the world; the average girl in downtown Toronto is 10 times better).
Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
My family and I are only stuck in old 50's, 60's and 70's Indian movie and songs. Nothing more than 70's. Those were good quality movies with amazing songs.
Big No No to Indian drama they are charba of American dramas. Same goes for 80% of Paki dramas nowadays.
Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
Hollywood rules. Use to watch Bollywood when younger because my parents did but now I think they are FOB, like somebody mentioned Bollywood is nothing but unrealistic and unartistic musicals, their TV serials are ridiculously long and some of the cast miraculously disappear without any explanation and the combination of sound and vibration effect gives me an headache.
Desi music is so tasteless, high pitched, cheesy and mushy I feel awkward and embarrassed even when somebody else has got it on, in short it is completely GAY.
None of the Indian stars are particularly attractive, they’re all fake deep down under all that makeup away from the camera effects and lighting they look like they suffer from jaundice, anaemia and greasyitis much like any other Indian, it is interesting to note that lately they have replaced the background dancers who were a true reflection of Indians with better looking Europeans dancers.
Even sophisticated Indians don’t watch Bollywood or listen to Indian songs, it’s only the uneducated poor FOB class and good for nothing high school dropouts.
I can't see why so many South Asian people are obsessed with Bollywood, it is trash. You're in England now, watch English films.
Re: Do you or does your family watch a lot of indian productions - t.v and films?
noone going to kill you if you say the truth, if no body watches then why the movies are doing good overseas then in india
as far my interests,
i watch bollywood movies very less, only if the film is big hit
i watch Telugu movies more to any other langauges,
In India South Indians don't watch Hindhi Movies or Hindhi TV Serials , as they don't know hindhi and the film industry in south is much much better then north
